New additions to Cardiff’s food and drink scene are always welcome! Had a lovely little evening the other week at the launch party for @riverside__social 🥐🍷

📍 Millennium Walk, Principality Stadium, Cardiff

The place has a really nice feel to it. Being part of the @principalitysta, it’s got a cool, slightly sporty vibe, and I can see it being a great little spot for a pint or a glass of wine before or after the rugby this autumn.

OR a fab choice for a daytime catch-up / somewhere to settle in with your laptop and a good cuppa if you’re working remotely.

As someone who’s always relying on public transport, anywhere this close to the train station gets extra points from me too!

I was only there for a little bit so didn’t get to try the freshly baked focaccia but heard v good things about it…clearly I shall have to go back. However, I can confirm the homemade jammy dodger was glorious. As was the carrot cake!!!

They’re also currently promoting a bottomless Beaujolais Day brunch on Thursday 19th November, which sounds lots of fun…head over to their Instagram for the details and tickets! 🍷

Big thank you for having me xx

@sing.pods have just arrived at Cardiff’s @golffanguk and they’re a fantastic addition to their already impressive lineup. If you haven’t visited yet, prepare to be amazed by crazy golf with incredible theming, AR Darts, arcade machines and now karaoke!

They offer brunch packages for each activity so there’s something for everyone. Their bottomless brunch is solid and your bottomless can follow you around the course or into the karaoke booth.

The @sing.pods booths are fantastic, with air conditioning, soundproofing (thank goodness) and even different light presets to suit your mood.

So grab your friends and treat yourselves to a brunch and sing your heart out. You’ll find @selinaroseeats and I belting out the entire Grease Megamix sound effects and all.

Karaoke can also be booked independently for £10 per person. 🎤

Big thank you to @lovelistsocials for organising and allowing me to come along.

Can't believe it's taken me so long to post about our Gals book club trip to Bath at the end of March!!!

Or maybe, I did, I can't remember and I've made this now! 🤭

Lucked out finding some great, safe gluten free places to eat, had lots of giggles and some great girly time which was hugely needed with waiting on Roman's endoscopy results!

This month we read Strange Pictures by Uketsu, and this was definitely one of the more unusual book club reads we’ve chosen so far! We ended up with an average of 3 stars, and opinions were VERY mixed, but everyone agreed it made for a good discussion.

Summed up:
❋ The drawing/picture element was a really interesting concept and kept most of us engaged throughout

❋ We liked trying to work out the connections between the stories, especially once everything started intertwining

❋ Some of us found the clues fun to analyse… others felt like there was absolutely no way the reader could realistically solve them 😅

❋ The writing style was very simple and direct - some enjoyed how easy and fast it was to read, while others found it repetitive or a bit patronising at times

❋ A few of us struggled with the lack of character depth and found it hard to really care about some of the people involved

❋ Logic wise… there were definitely moments where you had to suspend disbelief quite heavily 💀

❋ The final reveals worked well for some of us, but others thought parts became a bit too overcomplicated and unrealistic by the end

❋ We all expected it to feel more like horror from the marketing, but most agreed it leaned more mystery/thriller than genuinely creepy

❋ Overall though, it felt refreshing to read something structurally different and it definitely got us talking

❋ And finally, there should have been more pets. Justice for Cheepy 🐥

A week of fun in the sun and a lot of socialising which helped mental health so so much!

Started off the week with gym and a hot Pilates class at @orenwellness which imo is harder than any weightlifting I've ever done (I have terrible coordination and balance but hey it's fun!) And bumped into an old friend which was so nice!

Head to @the_cosyclub / @cosyclub_cardiff with @selinaroseeats for a lovely, sunny evening dinner! After a lil trip to @blue.rinse.cardiff though of course 😹

Saw @_nicktjones for coffee and we made fun of the fact that we have no photos together despite being friends for 16 years

Charlie and I tried the new @marksandspencerfood Detroit Style pizzas which for supermarket pizzas were genuinely incredible. Not as thick as I'd like however, soooo tasty, loads of toppings and huge!

We did some more work around the house and went to an Italian place for dinner which was actually awful 😹💀 but hey at least I didn't have to cook my sad chicken and vegetables right!?

Finished the week off by going shopping with @jamfootsteps who took me to @thecircularstudio and then gym ❤️‍🔥
