Happy International Women’s Day! 🌎💚

At the Connecticut Sierra Club, our staff is women-led, and we’re proud to work alongside a powerful community of volunteers, many of them incredible women, who show up every day to fight for our planet.

Women have always been at the heart of the environmental movement: organizing communities, protecting natural spaces, advocating for clean air and water, and pushing for climate solutions that protect future generations.

Together, our staff and volunteers are making waves, building community, and getting the work done to create a healthier, more just world. Today we celebrate the women leading the way, and all those who continue to inspire this movement forward. ✨ #Internationalwomensday

@govnedlamont dismissed a young climate activist today when asked about if he would deny permits for the compressor stations in Brookfield, CT, which release methane directly into the community and are located just 1900 feet from the town's middle school. Take action now at the link in our bio.

I did a quick project so I could wear this one in #bucurești because it's SO HOT, but planning to add more to the hem of the shorts once I'm back in the US! The design is from my great grandmother's book, so I'm extra excited to get to wear it while in Romania 💛
