La terrasse Est du Lovdge. 🌿

Maison Saint-Jean is a quiet transformation of a modest 30 m² workers’ cottage in the heart of Bordeaux. Instead of knocking it down, the project carefully revealed its potential by adding a subtle upper floor, maximising natural light through a glazed north-facing extension, and preserving the peaceful character of the dense urban block.

Reused materials, bio-based insulation and a respectful approach to the historic terrace make this a thoughtful piece of contemporary architecture that feels both intimate and intelligent. This is where you come to truly live in the light.

Capturing the moment is capturing the light. Nothing is faster than light, and catching a slice of it is a unique moment. After all, you only enter the river once.
