Endometriose & Nutrition, Part 2: what should actually be on the plate 🍽️

🎥 Clips from our Calala Talk Anti-entzündlich essen bei Endometriose with @serap.tekgul, certified nutrition consultant with a focus on women’s health, who lives with endo and adeno herself.

In the webinar, Serap shared the plate formula she recommends: half veggies, a quarter protein, a quarter whole grains, plus a good fat and herbs.

The most important message: there’s no single “endo diet,” and the studies don’t show one either. What research does point to is an overall pattern with lots of plants, fibre and good fats. And the best version is the one you can keep up.

💡 Bonus tip from Serap: heavy periods can raise your iron needs. Your body absorbs plant iron better with vitamin C (peppers, lemon, orange) and less well with coffee or black tea at the same meal. If your periods are heavy, ask your doctor to check your ferritin.

Which swap are you trying first? Tell us below 👇

This is general information, not medical advice. Just had endo surgery or have a stoma? Talk to your doctor and a nutrition therapist first. Thinking about bigger changes? A qualified dietitian can help.

Part 2: slows turns two 🎂 The big birthday celebration 🥹

On Saturday morning, we celebrated two years of slows. And my heart is still so full. 🥹🤍

What made it so special was seeing so many people come together. Especially our wonderful trainers, some of whom have been part of slows for almost two years now. Alongside friends, familiar faces and so many lovely people from our community. 🫂

I always say that slows was founded solo, but it has never been a solo project. And that’s especially thanks to the incredible people who bring this space to life every single day.

Thank you to our trainers and everyone who has been part of this journey and helped make slows what it is today.

Here’s to many more years of slowing down together. 🤍
