✨Sunday Spotlight✨

Joining bookstagram on a whim last year was an unexpected highlight of the year. This bookish community has been so welcoming and kind, and I wanted to find a way to celebrate more of you this year (especially since Instagram still won’t grant me repost privileges 😤) So, I’m adding Sunday Spotlights to the mix this year!

💖For this first Sunday Spotlight, I wanted to highlight a few accounts that feel like instant friends and make this space so welcoming.

@booksnspacebuns - Kayleen is one of the first book besties I made on the gram when we both received an arc of The Silversmith. She gives back to her local community with the CUTEST little free library that she stocks frequently with treasure and she is the ultimate hype woman for indie authors. 📚🧚

@thereadingalley - I’m so thankful Gabrielle slid into my DM’s this summer. She’s a romantasy audiobook fiend and always down to gab about the best book boyfriends (especially Luther Corbois). 👑🗡️

@story.and.adventure - Elizabeth is just a ray of sunshine. She is always reading a THICC romantasy book (or 10) and rocking some stunning cosplay lewks. Seriously her crafting skills are insane.🐉🎨

@seriouslyoverbooked - Abbie and Ally are two IRL book besties who decided to move their bookish Facetimes to the gram. Whether they are posting a cozy reading session or their growing list of soft DNF’s, their page feels like you’re the third member of their crew. 👯‍♀️💞

@stephsbooktalk -Steph is a fellow philly sports fan so we’re basically family. She will motivate you to get outside and move your body every day AND complete your ARCs on time. 💪🦅

✨⭐️What bookish accounts have made you feel at home in the bookstagram community? Shout them out in the comments so we can show them some love as well. 🤗

LOVERS Bookstack 💕📚🩷

I was challenged by @theultimate.bibliophile to create a bookstack with the word EBONY, but I didn't have the books! So in light of @taylorswift getting engaged 😍 (I'm so happy for her) 🥹 I have created a LOVERS stack instead 😍🫶🏻💕🥰💛

To the people I've tagged, your challenge is to spell the word WONDER with books!! No pressure tho, book besties ✨🫶🏻

L- Lady of Darkness @melissa_k_roehrich
O - Outlander @diana_gabaldon
V - Vicky Angel @jacquelinewilson_hq
E - The Ever King @authorljandrews
R - Rose in Chains @juliesotowrites
S - Shield of Sparrows @devneyperry

💭 #qotd - what book couple is your favourite?

#aotd - Aelin and Rowan forever but Gideon and Rune make me feel warm and happy 🫶🏻🥰

💕Oh my word I’ve been so excited to share an account that has at least two or three bookish friends who run it… and this week is the week!!! I couldn’t be more excited to introduce you all to Ally and Abbie, the creators behind the account @seriouslyoverbooked :)

💐These two ladies are the absolute sweetest, and you’ll be able to tell that just by giving their account a quick glance. They have the most incredible book reviews, adorable reels, and you’ll fall in love with the way that they’re a dynamic duo! Get to know them both a bit below!

Q: What is your favorite fiction book you’ve read?
Ally: I know it’s not just one book but my favorite series is The House of Devils series by Kayla Edwards 🖤 And if I had to pick one, City of Souls and Sinners!
Abbie: Manacled by SenLinYu, it was my first fanfic and I loved it! Can’t wait for it to be trad published in September.

Q: What are you currently reading?
Ally: Currently Reading: Beach Read by Emily Henry
Abbie: Currently reading: Of Withering Dreams by Rowyn Adelaide!

Q: What is your favorite thing about the bookstagram community?
Ally: My favorite thing about the Bookstagram community is being able to share your love for reading without judgement 🥹 And of course, all of the amazing recommendations from other bookstagram accounts!!
Abbie: I love how supportive and positive everyone is on bookstagram! I love seeing people be excited and passionate about the books they’re reading.

🤍Go give Abbie and Ally a follow + make sure to come back next week to meet another bookstagrammer who you won’t want to miss out on :)

Sunday Shout-outs ✨

Just a little appreciation post for new (and old) friends that I’ve made on this app 🫶🏻

I screenshoted more profiles but if I want to continue this on a somewhat reoccuring basis, I cut down my list to 5 folks.

Or I might forget about the series and never do it again? 🧐 We shall see.
