Space 4 Art presents its seventh exhibit in collaboration with Art Produce Gallery opening October 10th 4-7p.m. through November 7th.

ACTUAL SIZE takes the human scale as a point of departure in a moment when so many forces shaping our lives feel increasingly large, distant, and beyond our control. The exhibition considers the spaces between those larger forces and the scale at which we live. The body, the object, the built environment and the everyday. What might it mean to focus on what we can shape, experience, and understand at a human scale?

Curated by Lara Bullock P.h.D a curator and scholar whose work explores contemporary art, culture, and the ways artists engage with the social, psychological, and material conditions of everyday life.

Artists include Nick Lesley @seriouslywarchild ,Andrew Alcasid @andrewalcasid , Diana Benavidez @pinata.jpg and May-ling Martinez @maylingarte Aldo Cervantes @_aldocervantes

This exhibit is sponsored by @prebysfound through the Arts Ecosystem Grant.

I’m very excited to share ACTUAL SIZE, featuring the incredible work of Andrew Alcasid @andrewalcasid , Diana Benavidez @pinata.jpg , Aldo Cervantes @_aldocervantes , Nick Lesley @seriouslywarchild , and May-ling Martinez @maylingarte , opening October 10 at Art Produce Gallery.

I’m deeply grateful to these five artists for making this exhibition with me, and honored to be the final curator (out of a very impressive slate of curators) in Space 4 Art’s series of seven exhibitions at Art Produce. Thank you to Katie Ruiz @katieruizart for her vision, work, and care, designing this beautiful flyer, and to Space 4 @sdspace4art Art and the Prebys Foundation @prebysfound for their support.
