I’ve been receiving so much beautiful feedback about people having cathartic, healing experiences at the Yaima shows. Many have shared that they cried when I danced with the wings. 🪽

This touches my heart deeply and inspires me to keep dancing. It means everything that even one person can have a touching, healing moment through this work.

My intention is always to inspire and uplift others when I perform. For these shows, I mostly improvised the wing dances so I could stay open as a channel for whatever wanted to come through. Energetically, it felt like a dance between myself, Yaima’s angelic music, the divine, and the entire room of humans.

Thank you for being on this journey with me.

When bodies become poetry. 🖤

A little moment of collective magic from last week’s Neo Fusion dance retreat, under the guidance of @illanriviere 🌊

No words needed. Just flow… listening, responding and becoming something bigger than ourselves.

So many beautiful things happen when we create together. 🌀

Sometimes the art is simply in the experience of making it.

Bodies in motion, moving in and out of each other, creating shapes, rhythms and fleeting moments of beauty.

I could watch this on repeat. 🌀

Sharing the 20 original paintings that came together for Plant Allies, our Visionary Muse Collective // @visionarymusecollective exhibition at @lodostudios in Santa Barbara. 🌊

This experience grew through months of meeting, dreaming, painting, planning, and collaborating together as a collective ~ and then finally gathering in person to see all of these individual visions sharing one physical space.

I’m so grateful to have helped produce this experience through Chroma Soul, partnering with LoDo Studios and collaborating alongside the artists of the Visionary Muse Collective, which I’m honored to be part of myself.
There is truly nothing quite like seeing an original painting up close in the physical dimension ~ where you can see the layers, texture, presence, and feel the energy of the work.

Seeing this entire body of work come together in one place was incredibly powerful. 💖

✨Night 1 // Opening Night ✨🌿🌀

Last night, a vision became real.

After months of dreaming, painting, planning, coordinating, problem-solving, shipping, building, and bringing so many moving pieces together, ✨Plant Allies✨ opened its doors in Santa Barbara. 🌿🎨🌊

It was so special to finally connect with so many of the other artists in person ~ to share hugs, conversations, laughter, and celebrate our work coming together in one place. After creating and connecting from afar, there was something incredibly meaningful about finally standing beside one another and seeing all of these portraits together, each carrying the unique vision and spirit of the artist who created it.

Watching people move through the exhibition, connect with the artwork, meet the artists, and experience what we created together made the night even more beautiful. 🌹

I’m so grateful to every artist who brought her vision, energy, and heart into this exhibition, to everyone who came out to experience and celebrate the work with us, and to @lodostudios for giving this body of work a space to come together and be celebrated.

And we’re not finished yet. ✨

🌀 Tonight we gather again for another special evening with the Santa Barbara community! With artist talks, live painting, and the opportunity to experience the work in person with many of the artists present. 🌿🎨

Celebrating the turning of the wheel 🌬️🍂 🌾
3 months ago we came together from all walks of life to take a moment in time to make something beautiful, to bring magic to life, and fly together. Made possible by the stunning creations of @serpentfrathers, her artistry adorned all 4 of us as we gathered in friendship and dance and to bring more of what we love into this world.

Shared live on the longest day of the year in celebration of the summer solstice 🌞 we are sharing it now with all of you as we come to the closing of this season and step into the fading glow of Autumn on this beautiful day of Equinox. May this dance fill your heart as you contemplate what to leave behind you, what to take within and what to cultivate during this transition into the dark of the year 🌑🧡🖤🧡🖤🧡🌑 blessed be

The last time four wings danced together on stage was 16 years ago for alchemize festival in Hawaii.
We are elated to come together once again to co-create this powerful transmission of the Seraphim angels.

When was the last time you felt royal?

Not because someone crowned you. Not because someone gave you permission. But because you could feel her, the Queen, alive inside your own body.

We all have an inner Queen longing to craft her crown and claim her throne.

The headdress I’m wearing here was created several years ago in a headdress workshop with @serpentfeathers , who beautifully held space for each of us to create our own “crown” from materials we brought.

We do this in a very different way inside Sovereign Pearl.

Through yoga, dance, self love practices and inquiry, we move progressively into the body and explore what it means to reclaim ourselves and reside more fully in our own peace, power and alignment.

One of our alumni, Allison, shared:

“Progressively moving into the body with yoga, dance, new self love practices and interesting lectures helped me greatly with my journey of reclaiming my body and self in order to reside in peace, power and alignment with the Universe.

The concept of Queen and Queendom is material I had not previously explored and it was wholly exciting and empowering.”

I love how she brings the Queen out of fantasy and into the realness of the body.

Queendom is not about having it all together.

It is about inhabiting yourself more fully.

Feeling your power.

Coming home to your body.

Oh. She was here all along.

I love all the beautiful ways women bring their offerings and gifts into the world. So many ways to craft a crown. So many ways to come home to Queendom.

The journey begins in just a few days, September 10.

I never really know where a painting is going when I start.

Sometimes I have a color in mind.
Sometimes a shape.
Sometimes absolutely nothing.

I just start.

Then one decision leads to another. Something I loved gets covered up. A color changes. A line gets added. An entire section suddenly becomes something completely different.

And somewhere along the way, the painting starts to feel like it has a mind of its own.

Someone said something to me recently that I loved:

“The art tells the artist when it’s done.”

That’s exactly what it feels like.

I don’t always know where I’m going or when I’m going to get there. I just keep responding to what’s in front of me until eventually… it clicks.

And maybe creativity — and life — works a little like that.

We spend so much time wanting to know what the finished picture is going to look like before we’re willing to begin.

But maybe we’re not supposed to know.

Maybe we’re just supposed to start.

Make the first mark.
Follow the next idea.
Change direction when it feels right.
Trust the process.

And eventually you might look up and realize you’ve created something you never could have planned from the beginning.
