Rooted in memories of sunny days in Rio de Janeiro, this set is a tribute to Brasil’s Black Music from the 70s-90s. It’s a deep dive into an era where US funk and soul collided with an unmistakable Brazilian „suíngue“. The late 70s and the „black rio movement“ also marked the birth of the sound system era. Legendary crews like Furacão 2000 got their start playing these classic soul, and boogie records, laying the groundwork for what would eventually evolve into modern funk carioca and baile funk.
Growing up in Rio, @giulianodopiano started mixing brasilian music in his teenage years. Artists like Ed Motta and Sandra de Sá have deeply shaped the way he sings, listens, and grooves to music. This hybrid mix brings together groove, jazz, charme, samba-funk, and Brazilian disco for cozy and playful times. Funke-se quem puder!

Nathan, aka Thanhsx, defines himself as a cultural anthropophagist. With roots in art and design, his journey began in fashion, where he explored the intersections of culture, identity, and self-expression. Drawing inspiration from the Brazilian Modernist movement, Thanhsx embraces and transforms diverse cultural influences into a soundscape of his own. His sets blend tribal percussion, samba, and traditional Brazilian rhythms with house, acid, and techno, creating a dialogue between different communities. His approach celebrates exchange and the constant reinvention of identity through music.
