The beautiful area of Pinecrest on the Sonora Pass Highway has incredible outdoor activities including numerous climbing crags, mountain biking, hiking and boating on Pinecrest Lake. The Pioneer Trail Group Camp is a nice group camp that can accommodate 50 people. October can provide either perfect fall weather or we may feel the start of winter when we are there. Helping out with a day of route setting at @sessionclimbing The camera definitely came along. I used the Nikon FM2 with a 20mm 2.8 For film, I tried pushing Kentmere400 to 1600. Not something I usually do, push film. I developed the pushed film in Xtol, which is known for the low grain and its ability to handle highlights, which is a problems when metering film at a faster speed than it is rated for. More than happy with the results and and I will absolutely be using this process for those low light situation when you need a faster shutter speed.
