A snippet from our latest episode on why building genuine relationships—and just being a good human—is still the most effective strategy for growing your client list.
Marketing in the tattoo industry used to rely on word-of-mouth organically, but today it’s about actively building community, showing up in public, and connecting with other artists. While technical skill matters, client retention comes down to rapport: people want to get tattooed by people they actually like, trust, and feel comfortable around.
The industry is constantly changing, but the power of authentic connection remains unmatched. Exceptional work might bring someone through the door once, but creating a welcoming, humble experience is what turns first-time clients into lifelong advocates who do your marketing for you.
How do you usually build rapport with new clients? What’s the single best piece of advice you’ve received about client retention? 🎙️🎞️

A snippet from our latest episode on staying true to your creative voice in an industry that’s constantly changing—and why trying to fit in might actually be holding you back.
The landscape of being an artist online is always shifting. It’s easy to feel like your style, work, or voice doesn’t fit into whatever trend is working right now. But forcing yourself into someone else’s formula isn’t the key to longevity. Sometimes, doing your own thing and standing out completely is what catches people’s attention and builds a loyal audience.
Focus on making great work, paying your bills, and letting your voice evolve naturally. You don’t have to follow the crowd to build something sustainable.
How do you keep your creative output authentic when trends are constantly shifting around you? Have you ever had a moment where doing something totally unconventional paid off? 🎙️🎞️

HUMAN MADE IS THE NEW LUXURY.

In a world obsessed with AI, shortcuts, and faster everything…

We still believe in real artistry.
Quality over quantity.
Craftsmanship over convenience.

Made by artists. Not algorithms.

A snippet from our latest episode on pushing past creative discomfort—and why feeling “cringe” might actually be the key to growth.
It’s easy to stay comfortable doing what’s safe or expected, but real creative breakthroughs rarely happen in your comfort zone. Whether it’s trying a new tattoo style, putting yourself out there online, or taking a risk on a new project, pushing through that initial phase of awkwardness or self-doubt is usually how you discover your true style and open doors to new opportunities.
Growth in this industry is subjective, and discomfort is often just part of the process. Pushing past the fear of judgment isn’t always easy, but it’s often the only way to move forward and evolve as an artist and a human.
How do you push through discomfort or self-doubt in your creative work? What’s something you tried that felt “cringe” at first, but ended up working out? 🎙️🎞️
