i have been in bliss for the past 72 hours or so, thoroughly enjoying these first few days of cool breezes that feel like a real fall season in los angeles.

today, unironically, i wore this tommy long sleeved shirt AND a knit sweater from h&m ... and it was perfect. i didn't sweat. i was precisely dressed for the occasion, and that's a feeling like you wouldn't believe. pure satisfaction.

these days are reminding me of when i first moved here, and the layering is about to go so hard. hallelujah.

this weekend i spent two nights in a row at the regent theater in LA: @horsejumperoflove & @mlbuch_

really night one was actually at the lovr song bar for Blind Phantasm, which was super inspiring and led to a night out dancing, but night two was a solo excursion to see one of my favorite artists, and she did not disappoint.

two wonderful nights, full of beautiful music and strikingly beautiful people. it's times like these that i can only hope i'm keeping up.

today is laundry day, which means a monochrome, comfy outfit that falls just shy of pajamas. going out in public with a bit of personality, but a fire in your eyes for crushing chores and getting essential tasks done.

i'm listening to the latest records for inspiration and motivation, and wearing my oldest pair of vans for comfort (of the emotional variety).

i can do anything with a pair of Koss headphones turned up loud.

today i didn't have much time to pull a true fit together so i decided to focus on a thrifted style cover-up of my work uniform.

i don't like the way it looks like two fits, one on top and the other on bottom, but i'm focusing on consistency.

sometimes it's nice to have your wardrobe options be slimmed down by the fact that your laundry has piled up.

creativity can thrive within limitations (all your clothes are dirty), and that's what happened this morning.

i have enjoyed seeing guys wearing loafers with a fun, colorful sock, so this was my take on that trend.

i'm also obsessed with the grey of this perry ellis portfolio button-down, and these plum adidas shorts never let me down.

i've been taking care of my brother's kid on weekday mornings, which has led me to take a more practical approach to wardrobe styling, especially as Los Angeles clings to the summer with an aggressive death grip.

that means shoes for walking around museums, jean shorts for casual but adventurous days running around, and old graphic tees that can handle spills and croissant crumbs.

these have been some fun days, but i'm starting to long for sweater weather.
