We have the pleasure of inviting you to the opening of Continuity, an exhibition by Charlemagne Palestine at settantaventidue on 17 September 2026 in Milan, Italy. The artist will be present for the opening. Charlemagne Palestine is a pioneering figure in experimental music and performance, whose practice explores sound repetition and visual notation. The exhibition presents Palestine’s Books of Continuity, a series of large notebooks recording visual experiments through drawing and painting. It was first exhibited in New York in 1977. A hand-built analogue synthesiser, conceptualised by Palestine in collaboration with the late designer Don Buchla will be activated by the artist on the opening day. It will then remain switched on for the duration of the exhibition, generating sound autonomously through the instability of its analogue circuitry. settantaventidue is a non-profit exhibition space for contemporary art funded by the Kira A. Princess of Prussia Foundation. @charlemagnepalestine @settantaventidue Opening 17 September 2026 from 20:00 Via Lodovico il Moro 1 Milan, Italy #charlemagnepalestine #soundart #performanceart #settantaventidue #prussiafoundation

TIME OUT TRAVEL. #TimeOutParis

We have the pleasure of inviting you to the opening of John Coplans’ retrospective and Alessandra Spranzi’s exhibition Tightrope at settantaventidue on 25 June 2026 in Milan, Italy. John Coplans developed one of the most outstanding bodies of work in post-war photography. Internationally renowned for his monumental black-and-white self-portraits, he transformed the ageing body into a universal subject, challenging idealised representations of masculinity and confronting vulnerability, physical decline, and the passage of time. The exhibition at settantaventidue presents a selection of seminal photographs alongside Xerox-based works, revealing a lesser-known and experimental aspect of his practice. Alessandra Spranzi’s artistic research is rooted in photographic staging, collage, video, and the reuse and transformation of found and personal images. Through subtle acts of appropriation and re-photography, she reveals the poetic potential of humble materials, everyday situations, domestic settings, and overlooked objects. The exhibitions are realized in collaboration with the John Coplans Trust, New York, and P420, Bologna. settantaventidue is a non-profit exhibition space for contemporary art supported by the Kira A. Let’s Go torna con la selezione settimanale di Pinknoises.it per attraversare la città quando il caldo sale, l’asfalto frigge, l’ufficio svuota la testa e l’unica cosa sensata diventa scegliere bene dove finire la sera. Milano hey oh let’s go.

It is a great honor to be part of the inaugural edition of "The Sound Exhibition Series". My sincere thanks to Fabio, Giuseppe, settantaventidue and Futura Research. @settantaventidue @fold.interval @futura___research @fabioperletta @senufoeditions @masaya_kat0 #soundart Below is a statement from settantaventidue. #Repost @settantaventidue with @use.repost The Sound Exhibition Series is curated by fold/interval and presents sound works exclusively commissioned from selected artists and composers. Unreleased and previously unheard, these works are approached in much the same manner as visual artworks within an exhibition context: they may be experienced at settantaventidue solely for the duration of the exhibition, through the specially developed Futura Research sound system. Masaya Kato’s flux (still) is composed of the sounds of sand and water, subtle electronic textures, extended techniques on piano, and improvisation on the Fender Rhodes. Conceptually, within a space composed of non-pitched sounds, excluding the Fender Rhodes, a sense of physicality emerges through the act of performance on the instrument. By tracing one’s own body into that space, the work arises from an anticipation of dissolving and merging oneself into it. Like all exhibitions hosted at settantaventidue, the Sound Exhibition Series is open to visitors during the gallery’s regular opening hours.
