The Antidote, 2025. Oil on linen, available as part of the upcoming @seventhgallery fundraiser, opening tomorrow. This is a quiet and personal painting about the radical power of taking care of yourself and remembering that you are worth it every single day. I remember one morning I realized that my vitamin pill container was kind of beautiful, so I painted it. I also love pale blue and chocolate brown- can’t get enough! Opening tomorrow night at 6. X

This is something close to my heart. Back in 2012, @seventhgallery was one of the first artist run galleries to offer me a solo show (when they were still on Gertrude Street!). That early support, at a point when I was still in art school at the VCA and working out what my practice could be, shaped so much of what came after. I’m now in the second chapter of my practice working primarily in ceramics and I’m delighted to give something back with two works: ‘Whut?’ and ‘She’ll Be Right’. Both are part of the Seventh Fundraiser, on at 27 Wellington Street, Collingwood until 10 October, and online until 25 October. Artist run spaces are where many of Melbourne’s artists get their first shows. If you’ve been thinking about acquiring a work, this would be a great time to do it, whilst supporting one of our city’s longest running ARIs. Link in bio. Thank you for your support! @seventhgallery

Sound on👂🏼🎧 Here's a teaser of the eclectic sound at Harana at @seventhgallery this Friday. I'll share excerpts from my "Gallivanting" mix from @thailand_biennale earlier this year plus new work. The awesome @pianopunk will play the opening set. Doors at 6pm, live music from 6:30pm. Come early so you don't miss out on nibbles by @halaya.melbourne and @asrc_catering - free to attend, RSVP using link in bio 📩 This sound was composed in Manila, Philippines, travelled to Phuket, Thailand and now lands in Naarm. Harana, the Filipino word for serenade, is a public love confession in song form, a display of vulnerability before the beloved and the world. Harana at Seventh is a serenade with a twist, a lullaby for the impending Venus retrograde in Scorpio, glitch-driven party-poem that professes love for cities that don’t always love you back. Curated by @angelita.biscotti  Co-presented by @seventhgallery and @liquid_architecture  Live music by @angelita.biscotti and @pianopunk  Canapés by @halaya.melbourne and @asrc_catering  This event is supported by Yarra City Grants

An unplanned highlight of being part of Seventh Gallery’s wonderful recent symposium, All That You Change, Changes You, was experiencing my films sharing a space with Nick Ashwood’s live music performances, Spectrum Voice (Organ Pipes I & II). The resonant drones from his handmade instruments serendipitously synchronised with the images and felt like an intentional soundtrack rescore. Another highlight was doing a live reading of excerpts from my practice research about these films, interwoven with Tessa Laird’s brilliant essay reflecting on the research: ‘Mind flowers: phytochemical imaginaries in an ecodelic garden’. It was an honour and pleasure to collaborate in this way and share the work across different, interconnected spaces with such an appreciative, attentive audience. With it being about gardens as libraries and libraries as gardens, the Library Portal was a dream setting. Abundant gratitude to Seventh Gallery director Lucie Loy, Nina Gibbes, Dario VaCirca, Jon Nguyen, the Library Portal and all the artists, knowledge sharers and volunteers involved in envisioning and creating such a special gathering together. An extra thank you to Lucie and Dario for illuminating my photography 🙏💜✨ @seventhgallery @lucie______lucie @ninamgibbes @kcin_doowhsa @fopa_info @jonkharker Photos by: @jessica__grilli @juancastro.au @sonia_leber Video by: @aiskirana 🌀🌀🌀
