new episode is live 🎙️

meet abigail calderon. herbalist. embodiment coach. founder of sewa method.

her story starts at two years old with an ulcerative colitis diagnosis. it moves through hospitals, disassociation, and a body she didn’t know how to trust.

in this episode you’ll learn:

✨ how abigail turned her chronic illness into her life’s mission, and why she stopped seeing it as a punishment and started seeing it as her superpower

✨ the exact ritual she used during the ten months she dated only herself, and how it rebuilt her relationship with her body from the ground up

✨ how she manifested her fiance within weeks of writing her list on hanukkah, right when she stopped looking

this episode is about healing your body. remembering who you are underneath the diagnosis. and believing you’re worth the love you keep asking the universe for.

DM MANIFEST and we’ll send you the episode link.

There was a time I would walk into a room and feel like I couldn’t breathe.

Everything looked beautiful. The people, the space, the energy... on the outside.

But the conversations felt empty.

Small talk. Talking about other people. Avoiding what was actually real.

And I remember thinking... how am I in a room full of people and still feel this alone?

I didn’t want surface level. I wanted to talk about what people were actually going through. What they were building. What they were healing. What they were becoming.

I wanted depth. I wanted truth. I wanted to feel something *real*.

So I stopped waiting to find that room.

*And I created it.*

THE HEALER’S DINNER. ✨🕯️🤍

Last night was our FOURTH one, and I just looked around the table and felt so much light.

Not fake, performative light. But the kind that comes from people who have actually faced themselves and chose to rise anyway.

And something we spoke about that really stayed with me?

How many people are actually *scared* to feel happy.

Like if they let themselves feel too good, something bad will happen. Or people will judge them. Or they won’t fit in anymore.

So they hold it back. They dim it. They make themselves smaller.

But you are *allowed* to feel bliss. You are allowed to feel good in your life. You are allowed to have a life that feels expansive and safe at the same time.

And if the room you’re in makes you feel like you have to hide that?

*It’s just not your room.*

This is why I created the Journey with VRD membership. A space where people *get it*. Where growth is normal. Where being honest is safe and becoming more is expected.

And tomorrow, TUESDAY AT 11:30AM, we’re going deeper. 🔥💫🌙

THE ART OF RECEIVING.

Receiving love. Receiving bliss. Receiving all the good that is already trying to come into your life.

Because a lot of the time? It’s not that it’s not available to you.

*It’s that you haven’t fully let yourself receive it yet.*

If you’ve been craving a different kind of room... one that feels like light, truth, and real connection?

You already know. 🤍

HEALER’S DINNER #4
I love you.

As part of monthly homework assignments, students are asked to share class reflections. This piece is from Abby (@ibd.dietitian), one of our second year students, sharing her experience of a plant walk led by co-founder Richard Mandelbaum at Minnewaska State Park Preserve.
—
“The class started by us stepping into magical surroundings. The air was crisp and perfect and we were welcomed by such beautiful fall colors it was like walking into a dream. Field guides in hand, we started our walk…

In the first couple of minutes, I learned more from listening to Richard speak than I’ve learned about plants my entire life. His knowledge and eagerness to share and teach is inspiring; you come to see plants and herbs with a different eye when you hear someone talk about them with so much reverence…

At one moment, we stepped into a lookout with an infinite view of the trees and Catskill mountains. We took a couple of minutes of silence to just be with nature, listen to the wind, and connect. It filled me with wonder and peace, and felt like energy and life returned to my body, as well as an immensely feeling of gratitude and awe to God and nature.”
