My little corner of the internet to document my sewing makes with a little bit of crochet thrown in.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Very excited to share my first dressmaking item.

The pattern is by @bybrigittecomeau and is called Andie Pants. They are low rise, relaxed fit. They have layered pockets and pintucks on the front leg and back pockets although they’re not so visible with this stripey fabric.

I managed to do the majority of these on my own, just a little bit of guidance needed from @sewariyon.

I’ve used a cotton canvas which was purchased at the Birmingham Rag Market a few months ago, floral poly cotton for the pocket bags purchased from @jerseyvoguefabrics . The zip was from our very substantial stash 🤪.

After a really difficult week I am so grateful to my friends and family for being there for me and cheering me up. A lovely , long walk yesterday with Fiona, a fabulous visit from Shayanne and my granddaughter yesterday, chats with my friend Jean and then a truly wonderful day out today to the Birmingham Rag Market with some of my wonderful sewing friends. And of course my ever supportive husband who is there for me day and night. Life may be tough at times but with a little help from my friends we get through these challenges. Thank you all. I truly appreciate you 🙏💘

My favourite @stylearc make the bob pants. What a great competition. Would love to win.

This is my second entry to the @stash_hub #sew2celebrate2
I bought the fabric from the corner shop near my home in Sri Lanka for £1 a metre, so this top cost me £2! When I go again in December I will get more in different colours.
Absolutely love the #sagebrushtop from the @fridaypatterncompany

Thanks as always to my lovely friends who guided me @sewariyon @curvybee_sewing and Lizzie Hackers.

Our postbox was vandalised ...

But the wonderful people of Hooked crochet club restored it... And it looks even better than ever!

THE STITCH UP! 💖

Farewell for another year #MeMadeMay, we’ll miss you! It’s been super fun seeing all the fabulous makes of May and we’ve gotta say, you creative kids have jumped into June with gusto!

Sarah of @SarahB_Sews has us Southern Hemisphere folk longing for warmer weather with her sunny Bardon Dress, while Caeleigh of @CaeleighSews is pure joy as she rounds out her #MeMadeMay round-ups in her Wrap Skirt. We’re happy that Katie @Ray.Sews.And.Throws has broken her sewing drought by turning out the fabulous Paddington Top with a little hack to remove the buttons on the back. Welcome to the good life, Katie!
