Still processing tonight because wow… what an experience!

Thank you to @fox26houston and @theisiahfactor Iuncensored for having me on the show tonight. It was truly an honor to be part of the conversation and represent not only my brand, but also the creativity, artistry, and hard work that goes into fashion and custom design.

A special thank you to my client @mymy_so_real_ and her daughter for taking the time to come on such short notice and support me during the show. I truly appreciate it. 🤍

No matter what side of the conversation people are on, I’m grateful to be able to share my perspective and speak on something I truly love and have dedicated years of my life to.

And a special thank you to my amazing husband and business partner @mo_kinteh10 . Thank you for always believing in me, supporting my visions, pushing me, and standing beside me through every season of this journey. None of this would feel the same without you.

Thank you to everyone that continues to support my journey, trust my work, and believe in my vision. This is only the beginning. ❤️

I remember crying almost every night for over a year…
Not from pain, but from complete uncertainty.
Not knowing where my life was headed.
Feeling like I was in the backseat while someone else drove my life, turning me in every direction except forward.

All my age mates were growing, building, exploring their lives… and I felt stuck.
Being undocumented in the U.S. meant opportunities were limited.
I couldn’t go to school the way I wanted. I couldn’t work a “regular” job. I had no roadmap.

My dad taught me how to sew.
He always said that all of his children would know how to use a sewing machine — no excuses.
So he started with alterations. That was the skill he passed down first.
And for a while, that’s all I did. Not because I loved it, but because I had no other options.

But somehow, God pushed me to try more.
I started watching YouTube videos and slowly taught myself how to make custom outfits from scratch.
One stitch at a time, my confidence grew.
And within just three years, I hit my first six-figure prom season.

Not because I had it all figured out.
Not because I had connections or resources.
But because I kept going.

Now, I choose when I want to work.
I only take clients 6 months out of the year.
I travel, I rest, and I serve clients who respect me and respect my work.
I design high-end, custom pieces that speak for themselves.

And sometimes, I still can’t believe it.
Because this life — this freedom — is something I never thought would be possible for me.

If you’re in your storm right now — keep going.
If you’re at rock bottom — build from there.
Because the same God who made a way for me, will make a way for you too.
