Sherry Orr is a self-taught artist who realized her dream and talent to create art at a very young age. She began by painting murals and portraits of friends and family members and received astonishing reactions.

Sherry has had an interesting life by raising two boys, owned a restaurant business and modelled high fashion designer clothes. This experience empowered her to start a business years ago named “Creations by Sherry” which consisted of unique painted art on women’s clothing. Sherry’s business was in high demand in Toronto and the Georgian Bay boating community, with a large clientele in Canada and the U.S.

While Sherry was busy raising a family, she took a break from her art work. Now she lives in Port Severn and has become re-inspired by the beauty of surrounding nature and birds. She was given a sketch pad and charcoal as a gift and began to draw again. Sherry realized how much she missed drawing and creating art and has not stopped since that moment.

Sherry’s passion and love for drawing is evident when you see her art. Her medium is charcoal and soft pastels. She is a member of Quest and on occasion some of her work is on display at the Midland Cultural Centre and various stores in Coldwater.

Sherry hopes that you enjoy her art as much as she loves drawing it! Her work is now on display in our boutique from now until June 30th. Please drop in and have a look at her lovely sketches!

We are open Monday - Saturday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. @ 88 Main Street, Unit A, Penetanguishene and online @ www.apassionforfashion.ca. #apassionforfashioninc #supportlocalartists #shoplocalartists @sherryorr18 @sgbchamber
