Incredible Labor Day trip to one of my favorite places on earth. The views the way down and up were endless. It was my first backpacking trip along with @colorado_troutscout. @popsflies and @fly.guy.usa had to show us the ropes! Busted knee won’t stop me from fishing! Especially after putting in that hike! The first of many backpacking trips! #gunnisonriver #maniconeflyworks #lastpicbestpic😂

Had a couple days off fished 11 mile canyon. It’s was beautiful out not very crowded and the fishing was slooow. I used 6x and size 20-24 midge patterns mostly. Glad I didn’t get skunked. @shakedown_stream with the comfiest hats. If Your a Grateful Dead fan and An angler you gotta check em out!

Go play in the desert with your friends. It’s good for you.

Heart feeling so full after such a sick week with the homies. Life is rad.

little edit from the other day on the south platte at deckers. If the fishing is slow you can always toot toot the whistle. Seems to do the trick one way or another🤗 @shakedown_stream with the comfiest hats 🤘.. #flyfishing #catchandrelease #fishing #catchoftheday #rainbow trout fishing

Getting good photos of fish while alone can be tricky. This fish is nothing to write home about, but I’m literally practicing so that when I do catch a nice fish, I hopefully don’t fumble on capturing it on camera. I found a really cool small tripod that fits on the back of my phone and in my pocket. I also found a way to do a burst photo setting with a voice command on my iPhone 16 Pro. So far this is the best solution I found for a true still photo with high resolution. Previously, I had just been taking a video which is also still a good option. Also, if it’s a really nice fish I’ll leave the hook in for the first photo attempt then give em a break and take it out. Ill Take one more photo then release it. Just in case they try to squirm away you have a chance of getting them back if the hook stays in @shakedown_stream love the comfy hat 🙌#flyfishing #catchandrelease #fishing #càtchoftheday
