This dreamy Santa Barbara home was designed as a gathering place for family, with spectacular ocean views as a very nice bonus. Interior designer Susan Shand and her daughter Ryan, co-owners and co-designers of Shand Design (@shanddesign), filled the house with collected antiques, artwork, books, music, and treasures gathered from around the world, creating a home that feels layered, welcoming, and deeply personal.

A Monetize Your Magic™ case study with my brilliant friend Ryan Shand of @shanddesign 💫

Ryan joined her mom’s high-end interior design studio two years ago. And after a somewhat rocky first year of trying to figure out where she fit within an already-established business, something clicked earier this year.

Back in January, Ryan and her mom intentionally reorganized the business. They focused on building an incredible team that could take more off Ryan’s plate, giving her the space to focus on the things she was uniquely designed to contribute.

As a Projector, Ryan isn’t designed to be the person doing ALL THE THINGS. Her magic lies in seeing what others don’t, recognizing opportunities, guiding the direction, and using her energy where it can create disproportionate impact.

But it wasn't until this year that she had the space and permission to do that. And in just seven months, Ryan grew @shanddesign's social following from 1,000 to 77,000+ followers while also helping create several new revenue streams for the business!

And as she shares in the Live, a lot of this happened by doing LESS. And having better boundaries with work. Vs. pushing harder. (Which incidentally is exactly what the framework told me was the case given her Personality Jupiter in gate 40.4!)

In this Live, I use my MYM framework to decode some of Ryan’s success and show how greater alignment allowed her natural gifts to become more visible, valuable...and ultimately, more profitable.

Thank you, Ryan, for letting me put you in the MYM hot seat and spotlight your magic. And if you’re ready to decode, articulate + monetize your own one-of-a-kind magic, comment MAGIC and I’ll send you all the details 🫶
