Working with oil is ‘not’ like butta. I have a love / hate relationship with Oil Paints. In this case, I love it. These updated restroom glass signs came out so tasty…like butta. @hanksseafood, they may be classy but, still hold onto their humor as the best food for happiness.

Saturday felt like love made visible.

Wall-to-wall mats. Bodies gathered close. Music filling the room. Hands offering support. A community coming together for one beloved person: Ruth.

The meaning carried in Ruth’s name feels especially fitting: steadfast covenant love, friendship, unwavering loyalty.

Together, the room sang Yoga Sutra 2.46, sthira sukham asanam, an exploration of steadiness and joy that also lives within our meditation library through Joyful and Steady Connection.

During meditation, Caroline shared a passage from Don Miguel Ruiz about our capacity to meet what is happening with more love. And then the room did exactly that.

Ruth has been part of the Satsang community since its doors opened. She is a massage therapist, a trained yoga and meditation teacher, and a beacon of devotion and tenderness. As she moves through her second round of treatment for bladder cancer, this community answered in the language she has given so freely for years: presence, friendship, music, touch, practice and love.

It was dreamy. It was joyful. It was an outpouring.

And it reminded us of something at the very heart of For Love & Joy: no matter the question, love is the answer.

To every person who taught, played, assisted, practiced, donated, sang and simply showed up: thank you for loving Ruth so loudly.

What do you get when you combine runners, beer, and laughs?

A hydration plan that completely ignores everything we learned during training.
🍺🏃🤣

Come run with us! Everyone is welcome!

Still have another few hrs on this one. What’s really beneficial to make a trip to IOP at 6:30am and have to leave by 11when the restaurant opens? @heavysbarburger
