• Washington Mardi Gras Day 3 •

Due to the weather conditions, our morning plans shifted away from Arlington Cemetery, but we were treated to an incredible visit to the Library of Congress instead, and my law school heart absolutely loved getting a private tour of those breathtaking halls and rich history! 🏛️📚✨

Afterward, we enjoyed an exclusive lunch at the Sulgrave Club before heading back to prepare for the evening. We traded our daywear for formal attire for our official presentation at the Captain’s Dinner Dance! Stepping out onto that stage and hearing my name called representing the Louisiana Fur and Wildlife Festival was an absolute dream come true and a moment that felt so surreal. An honor I will carry in my heart forever! 👑✨

• Washington Mardi Gras Day 2 •

A day full of history, leadership, and Louisiana culture! 🏛️ We began with a VIP guided tour of the U.S. Capitol and met with members of our Louisiana Congressional delegation, including a special visit with Congressman Clay Higgins. From there, we joined King Gray Stream and Queen Sarah Heebe for the King’s Luncheon at the Kennedy Center, followed by the Princess Coterie at the Library of Congress hosted by Dr. Laura Cassidy and Senator Bill Cassidy.

We ended the evening in true home-state fashion at Louisiana Live before heading to the King’s private event 🎷🎭. Nobody throws a party quite like Louisiana!

June 6th & 7th, 2026!

Since 1935, the Greater New Orleans Floral Trail Festival has maintained a beautiful tradition centered around family and flowers, and I was honored to be a part of the festivities this year. Saturday consisted of an 1850 House Tour, which gave us a glimpse into their day-to-day lives, rehearsal for the 89th Coronation Ball, dinner at the Creole House, and a sweet treat break at Legendairy! ☺️🖤🥘✨🌷💜

Sunday morning held a delicious (and messy) breakfast at Cafe du Monde, followed with photos by the river and a stunning mass at St. Louis Cathedral! We returned to the hotel to freshen up and were then brought back to Jackson Square for the official crowning of Ainsley Liles as the 89th Greater New Orleans Floral Trail Queen and the subsequent carriage ride through the French Quarter. We were then presented at the Coronation Ball, ate a delicious dinner, and said our bittersweet farewells to Sophia. ☺️🖤🥘✨🌷💜

Thank you to Sophia, Mrs. Courtney, Mrs. Sally, and the remainder of the GNO Floral Trail Board and members for the invitation and wonderful experience! Sophia, I had the best time traveling with you this year, and cannot wait to make more memories in the future! ☺️🖤🥘✨🌷💜

May 27th, 2026!

In partnership with the Louisiana Office of Tourism and in celebration of America’s 250th birthday, the Louisiana Association of Fairs and Festivals Miss Queens had the honor of welcoming members of our military branches to New Orleans for Sail250 Fleet Week! I spent a beautiful afternoon mingling with service members, listening to live music, enjoying local cuisine, and sharing my love of all things Gumbo with attendees! ☺️🖤🥘✨🪖🇺🇸🎉

I attended the Delcambre Shrimp Pageant, where I was so honored to receive a rose from Shani as I bid her farewell to her reign as the Delcambre Shrimp Queen.

Shani will always hold such a special place in my heart and will forever be remembered as “Shrimply the Best” Shrimp Queen! Although her reign has come to an end, I know our friendship is just beginning. I will forever cherish the memories we’ve made and carry our friendship with me for the rest of our lives.

Congratulations to Kamryn on being crowned the newest Delcambre Shrimp Queen! I cannot wait to watch you make memories, grow, and see all that you accomplish throughout your reign. I know you will make it one to remember!

Cheers to you, Shani and Kamryn, and to all the memories still to come! 💚🦐

July 11🦪💜

This weekend was filled with bittersweet moments as I had the honor of celebrating my sweet friend, Shani, and everything she has accomplished throughout her incredible year of service. Watching her take her final walk as queen was such a special reminder of the friendships this journey has brought into my life. It was also a joy to welcome Kamryn Darby as she begins her own exciting year ahead. I have no doubt she will represent the Delcambre Shrimp Festival with grace, heart, and pride.

To my Shani, thank you for your friendship, your kindness, and the memories we’ve shared. You are such a light and have the biggest heart out of everyone I know. I’m so proud of you and can’t wait to see what your future holds. You are SHRIMPLY the best!! And to Kamryn, congratulations! Wishing you the most unforgettable reign and I can’t wait to travel with you!!
