Hi ☀️

I’ve been busy working hard and honoring God in medical school. Already seven weeks in and I am still grateful the Lord keeps His promises.

BUT, as you can see from today’s post there is a very special guest who stopped by the podcast. @chartia.fhg I had the privilege of talking to Chartia about faith and becoming more like Jesus. I hope it blesses you as much as it blessed me :)

Available tomorrow at 10 am wherever you listen to podcasts.

☀️🍦✨

“How are you such a good God yet you see all that us going on in the world?” This is a question probably running through the minds/thoughts of many people. In this time, i’m constantly learning and being reminded how God is not a man. He isn’t human, he isn’t like us. And in that respect, I remember and hold onto knowing:

He does not rest (Psal 121:4)
He is always watching (Jer 16:17)
He isn’t taking a break (Isa 40:28)
He cares very much (1 Pet 5:7)

However, i’ve been choosing to STILL bless and praise his name because he is a man of his word. It’s hard wanting to know everything and all the answers but I don’t think necessarily all the time we should know everything. But i’m glad to know and serve a God who takes that burden off me and knows everything. “For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom...” (1 Cor 1:25)

I don’t know exactly how things will pan out or how exactly God is going to do. But even in the midst of the unknown, i’m glad we serve a God who is TRUSTWORTHY. We can trust him wholeheartedly. He is not a man who can disappoint us.

In this time, I want to encourage you all to remember who God says he is and ask him to make himself known to you in that way. Even if you don’t believe God to be a good father, I promise you he can help your unbelief.
The enemy wants to steal our joy and praises to God. We have an enemy who smiles when we let our guard down. He wants us to shutup, stay to our selves, not spend time with God/read our Word, be depressed, etc. We have an enemy who hates us and does not have our best interest at heart (John 10:10). I challenge you and dare you put the enemy to shame and to PRAISE him as your crying and grieving. I dare you to open your Bible to one of your favorite verses that you have a hard time believing right now and begin to ask the Lord to help you believe in it. He is faithful to exchange your spirit of heaviness for a garment of praise (Isa 61:3). Y’all he is here.

He is near
He is good
He is not blind
He understands
He never left
He is near
He is near
He is near
