17 DAYS 🤩😍🎉 Years move slow and days move fast. It seemed we had so long before our wedding and now it’s just around the corner 🥹 Thank you for being by my side in every moment of the last 5 (almost 6) years. I’m so excited to continue to do all the fun, stupid, boring, and whatever other things we do together forever & ever 😂💕 Time to get our families and friends in one place for once and celebrate what it is to be alive and in love 💜💜💜 #weddingmonth

More old goodies.

Young and indestructible. Not as young or as strong, but form and knowledge are light years ahead.

A casual date at the bar.

• A few shots of 275… went down smooth.
• Then she brought out the 285… next rounds on me 😮‍💨
• A couple of 315’s and she loves me. I still got it 🫡

Back in my element at my type of gym @palmettopumphouse

Time to level up again 😤

• As someone who used to chase 1RMs, hear me when I tell you it is not the end-all-be-all. It’s mostly unnecessary—unless that’s your goal and/or you’re planning to compete.

• Good torque and horsepower start with a good engine. If your heart and blood flow aren’t working efficiently, you’re never going to be as strong as you could be.

• While most compound movements engage the core, you still need to hit it directly in a more iso-dynamic way; just like any other muscle group. I’m not saying you need to do 100 crunches a day, but planks and hanging leg raises will do just fine. They’re easily the simplest and best options for most.

• That engine won’t operate without proper fuel and rest. You can’t drive a car forever without it overheating. You have to rest. Stop, refuel, and reset before moving on. Sleep and proper nutrition are paramount to everything else on this journey.

Suffering: the state of undergoing pain, distress, or hardship.

So does that mean suffering is bad? I think suffering is necessary for growth.

When working out, you need to put stress on the body, and tear your muscles to get bigger.

When doing something new, it’s going to be stressful, giving you some mental hardship, maybe even financial.

The true breakthrough is when you learn through the suffering. You gain experience to know what to do, or not to do.

But here’s the thing—suffering doesn’t have to be walked through alone. When you struggle alongside a team or a partner, the pain doesn’t feel as heavy. You carry the load together, you sharpen each other, and you learn that growth multiplies when it’s shared. The hardship creates deeper bonds, stronger trust, and a shared resilience that you couldn’t have built on your own.

“As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” — Proverbs 27:17

So uhh, this thing “UHP” kept popping up on my insta feed and I’m like yeahhhhh okay..

Then it just kept popping up. Then this dude @matt_hesse started showing up on my scroll and I’m like hang on a second…this guy is speaking my language.

So, I requested more info. Next thing I know I’m in route to this massive campus out in rural AR.

Adddd here are some words that really sum up my experience.

Hope. ✨

There really are so many good people in this world. We are showing up and becoming whoever it is that we need to become for the betterment of ourselves, so that we can lean into our own purpose/mission and be the leaders we are meant to be for our families and our communities.

I met sooo many cycle breakers. And these people have grit, tenacity, self awareness, compassion and so much love.

The more I got to know the coaches and founder of UHP the more I understood that this campus is truly revolutionary.

It is just getting started. This place will undoubtedly make a positive impact throughout our entire nation.

As veterans we generally have a servants heart. To deny that is to deny ourselves and who we are meant to become post military.

UHP provides us with the opportunity to really tap into our potential as we transition into the next chapter of our lives and apply the knowledge and wisdom gained during our time in service.

Thank you, Matt, for truly embodying everything you teach. Thank you for creating and leading the team that has brought @university_hp to life.

We set the standard. We are the change.

When going to @university_hp , I thought I was going there just to get my Integrative Health Certification. Thankfully, I was wrong. I got way more than that.

I found purpose.
I got a community.
I was trained by the best in the field.
I felt a sense of belonging being with other veterans.

At UHP, you don’t only learn the skills you are there for, but you learn so much about yourself.
You feel a sense of home being around other veterans who are in the same place as you.
You learn team work, humility, empathy, and how to slow down in this high paced world we live in.

I can’t say enough on how these 3 weeks has changed the trajectory of my life.

The best part is, it doesn’t stop when you leave UHP.

They have programs with @veteransfuture to continue growing together, getting resources on how to grow as a coach, a support system to help you to continue to get to the next level.

If you are a veteran looking to find ANY of these skills, I highly recommend taking the 3 weeks for yourself to grow.

Want to learn more? Reach out and I’ll gladly share more of my experience.

You won’t regret it.

Where are we going?? Something is happening. Must stare until answers are revealed.

🚗 Car ride = best adventure! But, oops, I slipped behind the seat… strangely comfortable. Might just stay here 😊

🌳 THE PARK!! I must run at full speed. I must sniff ALL the things. I must chase dad like my life depends on it. This is the greatest moment of my puppy existence.

😴 Uh-oh… too much running. Legs are jelly. Energy levels critically low. Time to recharge on the warmest, coziest lap available.

10/10 day. Would repeat immediately. Who’s taking me back tomorrow?? #TaterTales #ZoomiesForever #taterandthetots

Just discovered my tail has been following me this whole time… brb, sorting out this betrayal. 🌀🐶 The world is spinning, my paws are flying, and I’m questioning EVERYTHING. Is it me? Is it the tail? Or is life just one big circle?! 🤯 No answers yet, but one thing’s for sure—I’m committing to the chase. Tail, I WILL catch you one day, and when I do, we need to talk. 🐾 #UpsideDownLife #TaterTornado #TaterTales
