“When diet is wrong, medicine is of no use; when diet is correct, medicine is of no need.” - Ayurveda proverb I have been making fire cider for a couple of years now but this was my first fire cider making party and I think it needs to be a thing 🤩 Thank you @williams_britt for being such a joy to be present with and for sharing your abundance of apple cider vinegar and ginger 🤣 I can’t wait to see how these babies turn out in the next 3-4 weeks! Do you fire cider? 🔥 Our bodies are divinely designed to heal May you remember to trust your gut (literally) Eat whole foods Get off your phone before bed Walk after meals Get early morning sunlight in your eyes And spend quality time in nature and with Spirit This is the magic “pill” for body, mind, and heart healing that so many of us are looking for It’s within you and your backyard 🙏🏽❤️ Fire cider recipe @mountainroseherbs Let me know if you want a sample when this batch is ready!👇 #foodismedicine #ayurveda #firecider #girlsday #medicinewoman #herbal #healing

Never did I ever…. 🥸 *think I would eat meat again *think I would purchase meat from a local farm and not the grocery store *think I would EVER make broth from chicken feet and refer to it as medicine ✨ *think I would consciously drink home made bone broth from locally sourced chicken feet and vegetables, making it a part of my morning ritual *think my body would begin to heal from autoimmune disorders because of this home made medicine ✨ *think that perhaps maybe, just maybe I could make a difference by sharing a post like this… …but I did and I do, and I am… because it’s changing my life 🙏🏻 Feeling grateful for all the behind the scenes of life, and all of my ✨ guides ✨ ( @fermentlicious @sharingayurveda @thepoeticbody.co @hot_yogasarasota ) that have gotten me from point A to where I am today 🙏🏻 🤍 #healing

@rabbitrabbitsrq @kitchariwitchery @yoga_mama_meg are bringing you a meditative community collaboration🌈✨ We’d love to connect with you and share something special 🤍 We’ll be offering small servings of kitchari and chai tea. All will be served before tasting and we’ll meditate with our food and consume our first bites in gratitude and silence. Then we’ll all connect and party! 🎉 Will you come eat with us?🫶🏽🤍 We’ve all heard, you are WHAT you eat. 🥑🥥🍔 But what about HOW you eat? The statistics say that 75% of Americans reported feeling moderate to severe stress in the past month. Sure, that’s not 24/7 all the time, but are we able to put it down to nourish ourselves? Food is medicine and when consumed mindfully, it gives us the energy to thrive in wellness and recognize the mini miracle that occurs every time we eat! It’s a practice, just like anything else, and it’s just as easy to watch YouTube videos or catch up on the news and emails while eating, but our bodies need our awareness here. 💛 On the miracle of being able to consume nourishing foods and allowing them to integrate into our systems in an environment that is well regulated. What happens when we eat in a state of stress? When we’re feeling chaotic or stressed, our nervous system goes into sympathetic “fight or flight” and among many other life saving tactics, it disables our digestion, because we don’t need that to run from a predator. So if we still eat and our digestive system is unplugged, that can cause some dis-ease for sure! Think of all the “itis” diagnoses… colitis, diverticulitis, arthritis. Leaky gut, bloating, gas, constipation, diarrhea. We just put food in the garbage disposal, but there’s no power to turn it on and it starts to get kinda rank in there. We need our digestive magic turned on in order to process our food and we can’t do that if we’re not feeling grateful and fulfilled with our meal and surroundings. A wise woman @sharingayurveda once told me. It’s less about what you eat and more about how you eat. A Big Mac eaten in peace is healthier than a salad on the go🤯 Please join us and/or share with a friend 👩🏼‍🤝‍👩🏻👩🏽‍🤝‍👨🏻

Namaste my friends, I invite you to join me every Thursday @ 6:30 pm (starts 10/12, one week from Thursday)for a DONATION-based yoga class that will nourish your mind, body, and soul! My trip to India & stay in ashram inspired me to start a donation yoga class again, after a long break to complete my Ayurvedic Doctor training, I’m ready to lead a traditional Hatha yoga class that I have been practicing for 30 YEARS… Class will be held at UNWIND YOGA Studio on Orange. For me YOGA has been medicine, I discovered yoga after I was given a prescription for pain killers, antidepressants and surgery, due to my chronic back-pain from an accident in my early 20’s. Intuitively I knew that there had to be another way, the way was YOGA… AT first I couldn’t do much, within a few classes I started to feel relief from my pain… I never did take the prescription or get the surgery, I just did yoga and I started to feel better… The byproduct of the spiritual practice was a deep healing from stored trauma in my body.. I experienced much trauma and violence as a young child, the spiritual practice allowed me the opportunity to heal a deeper level of the manomaya kosha. I invite you to join me on this journey of self-discovery, self-care, and self-love through yoga. Let's support each other, inspire one another, and celebrate the transformative power of this ancient practice. Whether you're a seasoned yogi or a beginner, let's come together as a community and grow together. This class is accessible for all!! These photos are of the SIvanada Ashram, which has been my lineage of yoga three decades!!! The photo of me was one of my last public yoga classes… @sharingayurveda @fermentlicious
