If you are a fan of puzzles and mystery or life and death stakes games give this a read! I went into this story blind and had a fun time reading so I would recommend you do the same!

Our main character Mike has an extraordinary skill set. After experiencing a brain injury at a younger age he has since been able to see the universe in a completely different way.. he can see patterns and correlations and solve the hardest of puzzles and equations without breaking a sweat.

When he is personally invited to solve the world’s hardest, most deadliest puzzle .. The infamous Dragon box.. he finds it impossible to say no. Everyone who has tried before him has failed and lost their life in the process. There is a lot more at stake than first meets the eye and he is in for a journey of self discovery as he takes on the worlds hardest challenge.

There is lots of suspense and tension throughout so get some good snacks and be prepared to settle in for the ride!

📚MY REVIEW:

When you are craving a tense and captivating thriller, with edge-of-your-seat suspense that builds at a perfectly-timed pace, you simply MUST pick up She's Not Sorry.

Kubica is SUCH a master! She can craft a thrilling story made up of several seemingly benign plotlines that will slowly and subtly build in intensity. This book is split into two parts and filled with a host of possible fear-filled tangents and creepy subplots that will take the reader down all sorts of side paths, asking a myriad of questions about what's coming next and how this might connect the storylines together. As I read, there were moments I gasped, moments my heart was pounding, and moments my anxiety spiked.

And when Kubica revealed the massive twist that brought everything together -- and then transitioned into Part Two of the book, I had to pick my jaw up off the floor as I repeated, "Wait a minute... WHAT?!" over and over. I even went back to re-read the last couple pages of Part One to be sure I read that correctly. SHOCKED doesn't even begin to explain this twist. STUNNED gets closer, but even that isn't adequate.

And the twists just kept coming from there! The second half of the book is absolute BANANAS -- with twists and turns and shocks that you will NOT see coming. And this ending is definitely going to keep this book living rent-free for a long time to come.

I cannot encourage you enough: get your hands on this book right now! It was a twisty, thrilling suspense ride that left me anxiety-riddled from start to finish - and I was here for it! To say I was SO EXCITED about my Book Club's virtual meeting last night with Ms. Kubica herself -- well, that's an understatement. I was fan-girling so hard that I actually said to her that I was fan-girling. 🙄🤣 Thanks @marykubica for joining us! You were so kind and so fun!🤩
