THE STAYCATION SERIES: The Pointhouse on Sargeant Bay. @thepointhouse Over the last 10 years I’ve spent a lot of time on the Sunshine Coast, and this property has become a favourite of mine. This is the third time I’ve stayed at The Aerie suite - it never disappoints. The attention to detail is unparalleled, combining modern design, luxury comfort and a seamless connection to nature.

The Aerie is a single level glass modern house on a private waterfront area of Halfmoon Bay, nestled in amongst the coniferous and arbutus trees. The house sleeps 2-4 people, with a wrap around deck, private hot tub, wood burning fireplace and boasts an incredibly landscaped property with its own yoga studio – just a few highlights. Everything you need.

Whether you need a solo escape just you and your dog (its pet friendly) or want to get away with your partner, or some friends – this property is one to save for future vacation (staycation) bookings.

* this is one of several great rental offerings on the large property - so I just may have to come back soon to capture the rest - too much for one video.

There’s an old adage that says, “once you hit 40 you’ve entered your Daddy Era” … and this daddy is investing more in self-care this year.

That said, I’m back at @theskingirls and bringing out the big guns this time with the TSG Fractional Skin Resurfacing Treatment. The “Fraxel” is commonly used to treat acne scars, wrinkles, fine lines, uneven texture and pigmentation. book in with Caitlin, trust.

* Fraxel Treatment 1/3 — stay tuned for more.

in: self-care is the new power move. — I’ve always been mildly obsessed with skincare, those who know me know this. however, when life gets busy, a proper skin care routine can be easy to forget or just ignore.

one intention this year is to focus more on self-care and invest in my skin. the team at @theskingirls are amazing, and my first treatment on this new journey was the Celebrity Facial, which pairs diamond head microdermabrasion with LED light therapy — the end result is clear, hydrated and glowing skin. book in with Caitlin, trust.

This past week I sat down with singer / songwriter Rufus Wainwright to chat about his new album Folkocracy. He talks about a 25 year career milestone since his self-titled debut album, and his journey. I saw that first tour live in Vancouver, and the album has a special place in my life, as does his music. This one for me - was very meaningful. //

Check out his new album and our chat here ☝🏽
