Tell me where to go
I can’t go on, not this long
Our history is dead & gone
Tell me a sweet goodbye
To keep me high, tell me why
Please sell me another lie

Stills from The Troubadour performance with Sakshi Chopra @sakshichopraa ❤️

A night I’ll never forget—where tabla resonated in the same room that once pulsed with the sounds of Elton John, The Doors, The Cure, Nine Inch Nails, Neil Young, and so many of my rock and electronica heroes.

What made it even more special? Bringing my dad—who lit up knowing all his rock icons from the ’70s had played this very stage. We marveled at the history, the ghosts in the walls, the music that shaped generations.

To offer tabla—an ancient, sacred drum—within a set blending contemporary pop, R&B, and Indian influences was profound. I’m inspired daily by how this instrument transcends genre, time, and place.

Huge gratitude to Sakshi Chopra and the full band featuring @vedantjoshimusic @shawn_draco @shawn_draco for the invitation. And a shoutout to the incredible staff, sound crew, lighting team, and sight lines—the love and care for music and musicians is felt in every corner.

Tabla belongs everywhere.
