Every time I reunite with @meganmerchantpoet I remember why I adore her (i.e. her dope sculptures, her box of bones, her energy drinks).

And congratulations to @_johnnycordova on his beautiful debut collection of poetry!

Lastly, there’s no better host than @deecohenbruno

P.S. there’s no better road trip shotgun-rider than @m.d._leto

Love you, Prescott poets! ❤️❤️❤️

Find Your Chalice

A new series of small works is emerging from the studio, coaxed from resin, rare earth, and the stubborn persistence of light.

This vessel doesn’t just sit. It holds. It remembers light. Cast in translucent layers that catch and keep a faint message after darkness falls, "Find Your Chalice" carries the quiet form of the delicate, hidden gills of chanterelles, the small botanical forms, and the shadows of short stories caught mid-breath.

The twisted stem rises like a question turning into an answer. The bowl opens to a plateau. In the Obliq way of things, the curve always leads inward.

What sacred vessel are we becoming in the process of life?

This piece doesn’t explain itself. May it catch the morning sun on your shelf… or glow from within when the room goes dark — a small, stubborn reminder that the light shines, and the darkness has not overcome it.

— The Obliq Artist
Prescott Studio

✨Sharing stories that need to be shared.✨

Last Thursday we launched our 4th edition of ISSUED stories of service. @issuedstoriesofservice

Not only has this publication survived, but it's thrived, with more submissions than ever. Choosing the best pieces for this year's issue was truly a feat for the returning editors and the new undergrad interns and of course our stand out graphic designer (and photographer.) I'm so proud of the work that was put in this year, from creating this year's issue to the incredible launch last week.

@poetprof thank you for taking on the monumental task, with Virgil, to create this journal. I believe there is no one better to be in charge of curating this journal. Your passion for this is infectious. Thank you for trusting me to be the managing editor of your baby.

@f.s.marquez and @ruckandroll1775 ... Listen... I might have gone crazy if not for you two. I couldn’t have survived this year without you. You were my sounding boards, my vent partners, the people I ran wild ideas past, and the ones who made the chaos feel bearable by stepping in where needed; I’m endlessly grateful for you both. And you both better come back next you.

@lavunya_ thank you for EVERYTHING you did. Seriously. You put up with a very panicked me more than once and you handled it so well 😂 The journal wouldn't be what it was if it weren't for you!

@poisonedpenbookstore thank you, thank you, thank you for being the most accommodating hosts for our launch! We hope to be back again next year.

Tiny poems, big desert energy. 🌵
Grateful for the opportunity to meet these fine people and share the stage at the Rinky Dink poetry festival on Grand Ave. in Phoenix.
Proof that the best things come in small packages (and short stanzas).
I was excited to read a couple of the micro-poems from my mini-zine collection, “Wheels on the Pavement,” and a few other poems.
I came back with a whole new haul of itty bitty poetry collections that pack a big punch.
And some new poet friends.
Thanks, Rinky Dink!
