As the women were leaving YOTFF Mount Gambier, we asked them two simple questions: what did you take away from the day, and what would you say to women across the Clare and Gilbert Valleys who are thinking about joining us for YOTFF Saddleworth next week.

YOTFF Regional Showcase | The calibre of women we continue to meet as Year of the Female Farmer travels through regional communities is extraordinary; women building businesses, running farms, leading organisations, employing people, raising families and contributing enormously to the economic and social fabric of their regions.

YOU are the reason we keep taking Year of the Female Farmer on the road!

Regional women deserve investment, opportunity and spaces created with them in mind, and it is such a privilege to keep taking these conversations into communities across our regions.

From Keith to Strathalbyn, Horsham and Mount Gambier, and now we keep moving.

Next stop, Saddleworth.

See you Thursday!

Ashleigh was in Horsham last Thursday, representing TRAC at the latest @she_farmer Year of the Female Farmer Regional Showcase with Rachel Titley.

Ashleigh hosted an interactive session on the day that got plenty of conversation going around the room, with women from across agriculture sharing their experiences, ideas, and a few stories along the way.

Next up is Mount Gambier on the 17th of September, where Ashleigh will be co-hosting, and a few more of the TRAC team will be heading along to support her.

The Regional Showcase brings together women from farming, agribusiness and regional communities for conversations, panel sessions and plenty of opportunities to meet others working across the industry.

So, if you’re around the Limestone Coast and it sounds like your kind of day, come along. We’d love to see a few familiar faces there.

Tickets are $49. For more information and tickets, check out @day_of_rural_women_adelaide

The YOTFF (Keith) ‘Chatty Cathy Panel’, was proudly sponsored by the local Nutrien Ag Solutions (Keith) branch.

This open-floor Q&A, to be hosted by Sarah Secker from Regional Collective, gave the audience an opportunity to talk, reflect, and share the real stories behind life, leadership, and ‘the blur’ in between.

Nutrien Ag Solutions are committed to growing value through a world of innovation practically applied, and these conversations reminded us that wisdom doesn’t just come from the stage, it lives within every woman in the room.

Thank you to Ben and the local Keith branch for helping make this space possible; where rural women could speak, listen, and connect with courage, heart, and laughter.

Every week looks different in my business.

Reflecting on what last week looked like I had the pleasure of attending the Year of the Female Farmer event in regional South Australia and being part of a panel discussion on creativity, adaptability and staying true to yourself across industries.

There were so many wonderful take-aways but the main one for me was,

... back your value and what you have to offer.

A huge congratulations to @she_farmer for all your work to bring together a room of women from across agriculture and regional business all with different experience, perspectives and at different stages of life.

Adelaide by postcode. Keith by choice, today.

Two self employed women. Two laptops. A trip out of the city.

@she_farmer & @boardsupportservices packed up and drove to Regional Collective for the day.

Fast wifi. A proper desk in a professional space. They have been able to offer important services and support to a market outside of their normal - and our community gets expert skills we usually travel for.

They’re already talking about the next trip, follow their links and make direct bookings.

We’re out to prove Regional doesn’t mean isolated.

Next week we welcome Regional Development Australia Limestone Coast & Flight Centre.

THE WAY YOU SPEAK TO YOURSELF MATTERS | Many women would never speak to another person with the level of criticism they direct inwardly at themselves on a daily basis. They minimise their progress, dismiss their effort, magnify their mistakes and continually move the standard for what qualifies as ‘enough’, creating lives where achievement exists alongside chronic dissatisfaction.

Over time this internal environment shapes more than confidence. It shapes nervous system health, decision making, relationships, leadership capacity and the ability to remain emotionally steady during difficult seasons.

The women who sustain growth long term are not necessarily women with fewer challenges. Often they are women who have learned how to create an internal dialogue that supports resilience rather than constantly eroding it.

Self respect is not built solely through accomplishments. It is also built through the tone with which you carry yourself privately when no one else is watching.

Because eventually your inner voice becomes the environment you live within every day, and that environment either strengthens you or slowly exhausts you.
