Met this amazing guy in GC Sheldon Donovan who actually lives in my childhood home town of Whitchurch in Cardiff.

From surviving cancer… to conquering a marathon. 💪

Ten years ago, Sheldon was diagnosed Stage 4 Hodgkin lymphoma…

But a stranger on the stem cell register gave him a second chance at life. ❤️

This year, he ran the London Marathon - with his brother Jordan - to celebrate how far he’s come and to support other patients in need of lifesaving stem cell transplants. @sheldon.donovan.1 @hr_dept_south_wales

This is the strongest person, and biggest inspiration, I’ll ever know…

Sub 2 hours may have been smashed, but I’ll never forget my first marathon for reasons much closer to home.

Not only has Sheldon:

1. Beaten cancer 3 times
2. Suffered 2 cardiac arrests
3. Been in a coma for 8 weeks
4. Lost 18 stone

he’s now smashed a marathon, even though this time last year, he’d barely been on a run in his life.

Whilst we didn’t run the marathon together, hobbling back to mile 22 to see Sheldon with the biggest smile on his face will be something I’ll never forget.

A special thank you to @dkms_uk for allowing us to represent them at @londonmarathon. We wouldn’t be where we are now without their support for Sheldon over the years.

An incredible day anyway, made that much better by having my brother there with me❤️
