Where would you be without your closest friends?

Today is National Best Friends Day and I didn't have these closest friends to cheer me on, challenge me, uplift me, and help me see things I never would have seen - I don't know if I would be where I am right now.

Think back.
How would you have gotten through...

... tough moments ...
... college ...
... parenting ...
... moves ...
... big job changes ...
... life ...

... without friends?

It truly takes a community for us to be well, inside and out. Oh how thankful I am for all of these beautiful people for being there to help me be my best.

Be sure to thank your best of friends today (and hell EVERY DAY) for being just the best. 😍

There's a lot going on in this picture😂
I mean, obviously I'm kidding.
But really. The evening has been fantastic due to the little Nugget to snuggle with, some very cute and cozy jammies and some blue light glasses that have seriously helped my eyes.
Find gratitude and joy in whatever you can.❤

Dang it @brenebrown I can’t even get 5 minutes into watching your Netflix video and I’m already being called out again. 😑 ⁣
⁣
I care a lot about what people say about me. To my face and behind my back. I live with my heart on my sleeves and it’s always ended up in people saying stuff about me. So much so that I let it eat at me. I think about it all the time. “is it really true? Am I really that kind of a person? Do I really [insert whatever said person said about me]?”⁣
⁣
I can pretend to say I don’t give a shit and put up a hardass front. But that’s bullshit. I care. I’m an #enneagram2 and it’s not easy when someone gets upset at me. When someone berates me for doing my job. It stings. Hard.⁣
⁣
But do those words matter to me? Yes and no. They help me see who’s opinion in my life really matters and whose just taking their pains out on me. These women are the women I want to shout out for today’s #everydayisaholiday. It’s National Women Rock Day (yes I know it’s for women who play rock ‘n roll, but these women truly rock). These women matter to me. They hold me accountable.⁣
[ @coachmeganholmes @megwellness @shannon.windsor - we need to get some pictures together!]⁣
They help me own my BS and feel safe being real AF about my life. Their opinions matter to me and for that I am so seriously grateful. Thank you ladies for being part of my team. Love you all! ♥️⁣
⁣
Also @shellanor_roosevelt we desperately need to meet up and get a new picture.

#tbt to the Windy City with my love! Joe had this gem on his phone this whole time and just showed it to me when we were reminiscing, so naturally I had to post it! 💕🏙

Autumn makes me so nostalgic and the time and place I miss the most is October in New York. When I was young, I always dreamed of visiting NYC! When I got the chance to go a couple years ago, I loved it even more than I imagined! It is the most uniquely beautiful place I’ve ever visited.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Maybe if I keep mentioning it, Joe will take me back soon! 😉
