A sweet friendship refreshes the soul-Proverbs 27:9

Thankful for a night of laughter with a friend to refresh this weary soul.

The photo on the left: I have no idea who took this photo and I almost deleted it today while looking for photos to use for a most deserving birthday tribute. Yet, the more I looked at it the more I loved it. It is a perfect representation of what the last 12 month period has been like for me- unsteady, out of focus, blurry and full of fear, doubt and anger…..and it is another perfect representation because there you are……staying right with me through it all…..that is who you are and that is what you have done for me.

And in the uncertainty, misfocus, and all the emotions that I find myself “stuck” in, you stay and you allow me to stay. You allow me to stay in how I feel, you allow me to find my own way back into clarity while quietly and slowly walking by me all the while- quietly encouraging me, loudly loving me. I find myself not as often and definitely begrudgingly more thankful for the blurry and misfocus and even anger because whether I like it or not, sometimes the lessons are in the blurry, and you remind me the reward is in the clarity. Hi Ethan! I’m so thankful you are her reward. She deserves it.

Thank you for staying in the blurry. Thank you for making the clarity and brightness even more so.

I love you. Happy birthday

❤️,
Me

If I told you how funny she is you would want nothing more than to sit at a coffee shop and listen to her funny stories and…sometimes unfiltered thoughts, and you would think that she was one of the funniest people you know .

If I told you how thoughtful she is, you would want nothing more than to learn from one of the most selfless people you would ever meet….and you would be inspired to go and do likewise.

If I told you of the hard worker she is, your head would spin and you would think she was one of the hardest working people you would ever meet. You wouldn’t be able to not be motivated and inspired to try and do the same. Yeah, good luck with that.

If I told you how much she loves her Jesus and how desperately she wants to tell you of his Love, Goodness and Faithfulness, you’d think that after every interaction with every person she comes in contact with that all they would be able to see, think about, fall madly in love with and want to know more about was Jesus- and she would be just fine with that. You’d be convinced that Jesus is all she sees and sometimes, you wouldn’t be wrong.

If I told you the rock solid friend and the “Show up” girl that she is, you would think she was one of the greatest friends that you could ever have, the kind that makes life worth living and the burdens less heavy- cause there she is walking with you and taking some of that heavy burden on her shoulder then telling you that “we” are taking these burdens right where they belong- at the feet of Jesus.

Jesus. Always Jesus. No matter what-Jesus.

Happy birthday Monét. Thank you for changing me.

Upon further examination……we’ve decided to wait till Monday for Brian’s return home.

He’s fine, we just….jumped the gun a bit. I have a full weekend ahead of me and won’t have much time home. Brian can take care of himself but some help for the first few days will be better. So……4 more days. #calmtheheckdown #waitfortheappointedtime #itwillcome

We could not have gotten through these last few weeks without you. Heck I’m convinced you’re one of the few we couldn’t have gotten through these last two and a half years without. The same can be said for Kaitlyn as well, I certainly do not want to forget her.

It is an incredible gift to know that someone is always in your corner, someone will always step up, and as long as this gift is in your life, you are never alone.

Thank you.

Thank you for always being in our corner.

Thank you for stepping up….you’ve never had to and yet you do not hesitate.

Thank you for the random text messages.

You are a gift to your family, our MT family, and your friends- of which Brian and I are most grateful.

Thank you for everything.

You’ve had quite a year…..and this year is only gonna get better.

I love you beyond. Happy birthday

Jason,

You probably don’t remember me….i wouldn’t be surprised if you don’t remember me. we met when you were a 3rd string quarterback and I have loved watching you climb higher and higher. I felt led to say some things to you today.

Words fail me. That is rare. I can’t even begin to describe the pride I have for you today. This has been a long time coming….and yet, this is the last thing I ever expected from you…..opening a restaurant was definitely not on my bingo card with you. But the more I think about it, this shouldn’t surprise me one bit…..you have always had a way of betting on yourself and taking risks and trying new things. Everything I have ever seen you do and touch turns into pure gold. You are pure gold.

Dad would be so proud of you, he loved knowing that he knew you…..and bragged about it to everyone that would listen. I cannot wait to make my visit next week, I wish I was there today. Congratulations dear one, give my love to Brill. Keep betting on yourself. I miss you so.

P.s-Happy Birthday tomorrow! ❤️ #caffelucca #betonyourself💯
