“Jigai”

Second accent⚔️

By far the best experience I’ve ever had on a climb. From building up the landing, to finding out new beta, and making the impossible possible. Truly a full circle moment for me.

Thank you to @leo_wolfe and @aclimber222 for spending the day with me, and to all the people who helped build the landing, honestly made the biggest difference. The one imperfection Jigai once had is gone.

And of course, all credit and respect towards the man @shep_dawson. Literally everything came together because he’s a fxxking beast.

Regarding the grade, with the new beta it’s in the 12 range, but slapping a number on a climb like this seems irrelevant. It’s not a v(#), it’s Jigai.

I can’t even put into words what this send means to me.

I first touched this climb in 2019, and it’s been in the back of my mind ever since. I came back to it in 2023 falling over and over, always so close it hurt. By the end of the 2023 season, I lost my love for climbing. By 2025, I had pretty much stopped climbing. I felt weak, disconnected, and honestly didn’t believe I’d ever get back to who I used to be.

Then 2026 changed everything. Life shifted, and I found myself climbing again, this time with new people who reminded me why I fell in love with it in the first place. Slowly, the confidence came back. Huge thank you to @iliya.climbs for helping me believe I could be strong again.

Yesterday Iliya and I went to the Glen. I had no expectations, bad weather, muddy ground, no real psyche. I felt weak and was just there to climb for fun. First go, I almost sent. Second go felt like every other attempt I’ve had on it… until it didn’t. I just kept moving, not thinking, and suddenly I was at the top. It felt surreal, like it didn’t even register in the moment.

After years of feeling so far from myself, this climb meant more than just a send. It was proof that I found my way back and even stronger than before.

Thank you @shep_dawson , @stefanovitch , and @faolan_s for all the sessions and support on this one throughout the years.

So excited for what this season has ahead.

Super fun comp at @hogtownboulders. Very psyched to get to compete in my first world cup format finals, and to do it with some dope people too. Couldn't quite stop the all-ginger podium, but we'll get em next time lol
