“Don’t be scared to shift, ashamed to bear abundant fruit, nor shy about asking God for provision. There is nothing holy about hiding. You were born to lead, built to move others forward, and chosen to rise up for such a time as this” - @marshawnevans #BelievingBigger 🙏🏾❤️✊🏾🕊🚀

Shining, Scarfed, and Beautiful.
I Will FOREVER BE A PROUD BLACK WOMAN. ✊🏾🖤 We are BLACK WOMEN! We are QUEENS! We build. We don’t tear down other BLACK WOMEN. We have felt the pain of being torn down and we have decided we will be deliberate and intentional in building others. All too often, we women find it easier to criticize each other, instead of building each other up. We have a voice so join the challenge:

If I didn’t tag you please know that I SEE you, and I want you to participate all the same! With all the negativity going around let’s do something positive! Even if you weren’t tagged and you feel moved go ahead and do it!! #unitedwestand
Upload 1 picture of yourself. Then tag as many SISTERS to do the same. Let’s build ourselves up, instead of tearing ourselves down. 🖤✨COPY AND PASTE✨🖤

“Social engineering is no more difficult than space engineering. If a program to get us to the moon didn’t work, the engineers would try another program.”

Repost for @MeetSherryWhite:
[“Mamie Phipps was the first black woman to receive a degree from Columbia university, earning her PhD in Experimental Psycology in 1943. She is famously known for her “dolls” study, where she presented young black children with four dolls, all similar except in color. She then asked the children a series of questions, such as “Which doll is the good doll?” and “Which doll would you rather play with?”. Most of the children would choose the doll with white skin, proving her theory that prejudice discrimination causes young Black children to develop a sense of inferiority and to have a negative self-image. Her experiment done with her husband, Kenneth Clark, was used as evidence in the 1954 Brown v. Board of Education court case, proving that segregation causes psychological harm to children.
.
.
Mami Phipps Clark and her husband Kenneth Clark have done revolutionary work in the psychology field, paving the way for black psychologists, educators, administrators, etc. that have come after them. Because of them I actively seek to assess & raise the self-esteem and increase self-worth of my students and children that I encounter.”]

#Day10. Boy am I glad this is over... the pressure! My last post is all about the genius #steviewonder. All of his music was played by my mom when I was growing up. She knew every word and eventually I did too. These four albums had the most influence on me. If tunes didn’t move me like Stevie then I didn’t want it. I can go to his music for anything and trust that I’ll feel 100% better. Seeing him live for the “songsinthekeyoflife tour at #madisonsquaregarden a few years back is one of the most memorable experiences of my life. He’s even more amazing in person. @o_so_mo @knghenryiv @im_the_hancho @shemaines_bottombags @aliajehan @noig_dani @drkchoclit77 @imjrenee @meetsherrywhite I nominate you to post your top 10 albums. #musicalgenius #songwriter #composer #innovator #musician “Just as time knew to move on since the beginning
And the seasons know exactly when to change
Just as kindness knows no shame
Know through all your joy and pain
That I'll be loving you always”
