Hello and welcome 🌿

My name is Monika, and I’m the person behind Reconnecting Roots Counselling.

This space was created from a deep belief that healing happens when we gently return to ourselves - to our emotions, our bodies, and our inner truth. In a world that often asks us to push forward, perform, and disconnect, I offer a space to slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with what truly matters.

My approach is relational, somatic, and emotionally attuned. I draw from modalities such as Gestalt therapy, AEDP, mindfulness, and body-based work - supporting you not just to understand your experiences, but to "feel through them" safely and at your own pace.

I work with people navigating anxiety, overwhelm, relationship challenges, identity, and life transitions. You don’t have to come “ready” or have everything figured out - we begin exactly where you are.

This page will be a place for reflections, insights, and gentle reminders to come back to yourself.

I’m glad you’re here.

Lucky to have met @she.sessionstudio at @ywcabc Build Her event on March 17th and win an amazing photoshoot session. We are both YWCA Power Up graduates. I normally don’t like my photo taken but Olga made me feel so comfortable and reminded me to just breathe and let go. She captures the essence of you as a person and that shines through in her photos. Also, she is fun and effortless to work with. I can’t wait to see the finished photos from our photography session this morning. I’ll be sharing some photos in a few weeks so stay tuned. I am also busy building Pronoia’s new WordPress website and these photos will be like the icing on my website cake! #photoshoot #photo #naturalphotography #womeninbusiness #womenentrepreneurship

The ocean. Because apparently, that’s where most of us relax best..
Vancouver has plenty of options — my favorite beaches, hidden gems, even on colder days.
Of course, it all depends on the photoshoot’s goal and the model’s needs.
Karolina? She just wanted to be herself 😏
Enjoy! ❤️❤️❤️

When my model asks for a few very ordinary, very “correct” shots — a classic pose, because “in my profession, that’s recommended”…
And, as always, what’s unspoken and unscripted steals the show 😏
Natural beauty always wins ✨

Meet my beautiful cousin - Basia ❤️

Jedną z takich marek jest @shesessionstudio — kobieca firma, która pomaga kobietom odzyskać pewność siebie poprzez tworzenie wyjątkowych, pełnych wrażliwości sesji zdjęciowych.

Wczoraj, podczas przedostatniego zjazdu projektu Zjednoczone 2025 w @bielany.integrator , miałyśmy wyjątkową okazję spotkać się z właścicielkami @shesessionstudio ✨

Dziewczyny totalnie nas zainspirowały – swoją drogą biznesową, podejściem do rozwoju firmy i wartościami, które widać w każdym ich działaniu 🙌💛 Koniecznie sprawdźcie jakie wspaniałe sesje zdjęciowe wychodzą spod rąk @shesessionstudio 👌🏼 Jeśli szukacie pomysłu na swoją sesję wizerunkową i zdjęcia, które oddadzą wasz charakter to dobrze trafiłyście! 🤩
