April memories, unlocked 🔓

It’s April, and while the end of the year is in sight, it still feels out of reach.

Classrooms are stirred up with standardized testing, transitions, and all the changes that come with this time of year.

But through it all, remember; you are still the teacher who has shown up every single day, you are the teacher who built this classroom and this sense of community.

Stay grounded in your purpose, stay connected to your students, and show them presence over perfection

You’ve got this.

✨ For our first Teacher Spotlight, we’re excited to feature @shineinfifth

One of my favorite parts is the way she starts each day with open circles to build stronger relationships with her students 💜

Have you heard of the game Sit on 10?

🎉 It’s a fun, strategic, #no-prep game that your kids will love! Simply gather in a circle and call out as many numbers as you like. The player who lands on 10 has to sit out! 🙈

This game encourages quick #mathskills and strategic thinking. Give it a try and let us know what you think!

🤔 Do you have any other fun, no-prep games? Share them in the comments below! 💬

Shout out to @shineinfifth for the addition of “an item that’s out of place”! I’ve always played “Magic Trash🪄” where I pick a piece of trash on the floor in my head and whoever picks up that specific item is the winner, but the “item that’s out of place” has been a game changer for an even tidier room! Giving the kids wipes and picking the student with the dirtiest wipe is also a fun cleaning game for the kids!

Who ever thought cleaning could be so fun? Have you ever tried this? 🧹🫧🧺
