☀️🏖️ Summer vibes with a buddy! 🌊🌸

Another fun buddy color with the lovely @shiradit! This time we headed to the beach in Rita Berman’s Meine Reise durch Europa — and what a colorful little summer escape it turned out to be! 🌴⛱️

I absolutely LOVE how Shira used the primary colors on her page! ❤️💛💙 Everything pops so beautifully, and it really feels like a hot, sunny summer day! ☀️🔥

On my page, I went for lots of bright colors too, and I especially loved playing with the Silky Crayons for the sky, water and sand. 🎨✨

Mediums used:
✏️ Brutfuner Pencils
🖍️ Silky Crayons
☀️ Languo Acrylic Markers for the sun outlines
🤍 White Posca Pen
✨ Gold Sakura Gelly Roll

Thank you again for another super fun buddy, Shira! I always love seeing how differently we can bring the same page to life!

🪸🐠 Finished this magical underwater room from Rooms of Wonder by @johannabasford 💙✨

I used a palette from @joannahpstone and honestly struggled a bit trying to make the colors flow naturally 😅 At one stage it really felt like my color placement was all over the show… but ultimately I wasn’t too mad at the final result 💕 Sometimes you just have to trust the process!

This was also a lovely buddy color with the super talented Shira @shiradit 🥰 Swipe to see her absolutely gorgeous version! I especially love the way she portrayed the lighting and her beautiful color combinations ✨

🧜‍♀️ My very first page from 📖✨ Fairytale Worlds by @maria_trolle

I had so much fun creating this underwater scene and going with classic Little Mermaid inspired colors. I really wanted the water to glow from the darker edges into the lighter center to frame Ariel. 💙

Those tentacles might have whispered a few poor unfortunate suggestions while I was coloring… 🐙💜

This was also a buddy color with the wonderful @shiradit — and her page is absolutely stunning! 💛 I especially love how she used yellow so effectively throughout the page and that beautiful stippling effect in the background inside the circle. It adds such amazing texture and light to the scene!

Swipe to see her gorgeous page ✨

Mediums used:
🖍️ Sunny water-soluble crayons
🖊️ Languo acrylic markers
⚪ White Posca pen
🖊️ GuangNa Super Golden markers
✏️ Brutfuner pencils

✨ Do you enjoy coloring underwater / mermaid pages too?

A very special buddy color this time between Shira @shiradit (left) and Jolanda @colouringbikermama (right), and there’s a beautiful story behind it.

Jolanda was looking for a buddy, and Shira reached out full of excitement with her list of books, but with one condition: her pages were already chosen by her husband, a cancer survivor, and every page in February is dedicated to #colouringforcancer. Jolanda immediately embraced the idea, picked a book they had in common, and Shira shared the page her husband chose for her. This is that page.

We’d love to invite you to watch Jolanda’s stream for #colouringforcancer, where she started this page with a very emotional intro.

Shira’s version (left): a soft twilight mood with dreamy purples and glowing golden flowers, giving the fiddler a magical, peaceful summer-night feeling.
Jolanda’s version (right): warmer and brighter, with sunny yellows and vivid pink flowers that make the scene feel lighter and more joyful.

If you’d like to help, please feel free to share this post to spread awareness 💜 And if you’re able, you can also donate using the link on the image. Every little bit truly makes a difference.

A magical buddy color between Autumn at @artfullifecoloringbooks (first image) and Shira at @shiradit (second image, night sky version). ✨
It’s always so inspiring to see how the same page can turn into two completely different stories just through color and mood. Autumn went for a soft, dreamy palette that feels like a winter fairytale in motion, while Shira pushed the contrast and drama with a deep night sky and glowing highlights. Two visions, one powerful scene.

We actually colored these pages back in January, but better late than never to share this beautiful pairing.

Book: Dark Fairy Tales by @kerbyrosanes
Page: Ice Queen
- Autumn’s supplies:
- Ecoline watercolor markers
- Faber-Castell Albrecht Dürer
- Silver Signo gel pen

Shira’s supplies:
- Shuttle Art gel crayons
- Faber-Castell Polychromos
- Languo gel pens
- Acrylic pens
- Silver Signo gel pen

These pages were perfect for:
#doingthosedauntingdoubles and
#coloringthesubgenres (Fairytales for January) hosted by @julieanneannettart, thanks Julieanne for motivating us through them.

This took forever because this group is so big, but just look at the amazing artwork from creators in this group! 😍😍😍

Our September page was my first time joining this group. So many of these incredible colorists shared the lessons they learned and how they fixed things they didn't necessarily like, and I just feel like it's an amazing chance to learn how to be better. It's definitely something I'm loving about group coloring!

(There are so many people to tag I know I'm missing some. I am so sorry!)

🌟 My first Buddy Color! 🌟

I had the joy of coloring this magical Rapunzel-inspired page from Dark Fairy Tales by @kerbyrosanes alongside the wonderfully talented @artfullifecoloringbooks 💫

What I loved most about this experience? How we each brought the scene to life in such different ways! ✨
🔮 I went for a moody, starry-night escape — full of contrast and mystery.
🦢 Autumn's version is pure fairytale magic — soft skies, golden light, and the orange hair are just stunning! Her palette feels like a dream at dawn.

🖌️ My supplies:
Sky: Neocolor II
Basing: Artel water-based markers
Polychromos pencils
Details: Signo gel pens
(For her tools, check her channel!)

Huge thanks to Autumn for being such a lovely coloring buddy 💖 Can’t wait to do more of these!

Which version speaks to you more — the night escape or the golden morning?
