In the world of Dragon Ball Heroes, cards are split into two primary distribution types: Main Set cards (which you pull directly out of the arcade machine after playing a round) and Promotional (Promo) cards (which are given out through external events, retail campaigns, or media partnerships).

The “GDPB” prefix in the card number (#GDPB-34) explicitly denotes its status as a promotional release. This card was created for the God Mission 5 (GDM5) Purchase Campaign in late 2015.

Rather than being dropped by a machine, it was awarded as a special milestone prize or incentive. Bandai launched these purchase campaigns to reward collectors who bought a certain volume of Dragon Ball Heroes related merchandise (such as booster packs, binders, or official card sleeves) at designated retail locations in Japan.

Because it celebrated the 5th Anniversary of the franchise’s arcade lifecycle, Bandai utilized the striking all-gold aesthetic specifically for this limited campaign run to give it a premium, commemorative “trophy” feel for dedicated players.

@ballsoharduniversityyy thank you always for the hidden gems 💎 🤘🏼🙏🙏🙏
