The upcoming Cleves Summer art exhibition was featured on @bbcinsurrey breakfast show this morning with James Cannon! Ms Robjohn did the talking @ 7.50am June 6th you can catch it on @bbcsounds Super excited for this, I got involved via my kids who attend the school and I wanted to offer my art knowledge and support. Fast forward to us being offered a solo show. The work the kids have been producing towards the show and at school in general is amazing. I have loved being the school ‘art specialist’ engaging with small groups producing themed collages and paintings. If you are local and can pop along please do!!! Illustrator & painter Camilla Perkins derives inspiration from flora, fauna and everyday life, elevating her motifs with a dash of imagination to create highly patterned designs. That’s her #Vagina poster ( top left ) at her East Sussex home .

Favourite book alert: BOLD BRITISH DESIGN by photographer Sarah Hogan and interiors editor Emilio Pimentel-Reid. ‘Modern living spaces to inspire fearlessness and creativity’. What a great tag line for an interiors book.

Sarah @shoganphoto and Emilio @whatemiliosaw were kind enough to share the story of how they got published, one of six author case studies included in my online course on how to publish a lifestyle book.

In the course I talk about how for a book idea to stand out these days it has to somehow be niche enough to be different at the same time as having broad appeal Not easy! But these guys have found that sweet spot.

An inspiring collection of homes and studios belonging to some of Britain’s top creatives - a sneak peek into where they live and work and the creative process behind the things they design. I absolutely love seeing where artists live and create so for me this book is a real treat. Swipe for a few of my favourites from the book. Highly recommended 🤍
