We just got in a beautiful new selection of natural sapphires, for a custom project and we still have three available after their selections, and I really don’t want to send these back!!

We have a new pendant design dropping in a couple of weeks that these would look incredible in, but we’re also never going to say no to a sapphire ring.

Sometimes I’ll catch a glimpse of our space and I can’t believe we made this. And even though it’s not technically ours, (yes we have a landlord), it brings me so much joy that we were able to create this ourselves, for our team and our community!

It’s been a while since I’ve done a proper introduction...

Hello, I’m Rae, the founder and designer behind Cival. I don’t come from money. I don’t have a trust fund or a family business waiting for me — just a frankly unreasonable amount of hard work, unwavering trust in myself, some very big dreams, and a never-ending creative consciousness.

I started this business in 2013, after losing my job and taking a big bet on myself. I had been planning my business for a while, and I was all in. I had an 18-month-old son, a hell of a work ethic, and a sprinkle of delusion — and I’ve been working 12-hour days ever since.

I’ve learned jewelry design, gemology, web development, marketing, CAD, production, photography, retail, construction — and quite a few things I never intended to become qualified in.

What began as one person making jewelry for markets in a hallway — with a dream of creating better things by hand — has taken many forms over the years, and I couldn’t be more proud of how far we’ve come: building a beautiful Milwaukee studio and showroom, and growing a team devoted to creating pieces that carry special meaning, has been incredibly challenging but also feels like my life’s purpose.

My custom wedding hand chain from @shopcival is complete!! This project meant so much to me as I wanted something old to wear for our wedding day.

My nonna who was from Italy, gave me a beautiful pearl necklace for my confirmation (swipe) when I was young, but I wanted to recreate it into something that is more my style.

So I drew up a few ideas and Sarah made my dreams come true 😍 it’s even better than I imagined! We made about 100 revisions to make sure it fit perfect lolll

So grateful to work with such amazing and talented people.

Designing both engagement rings as surprise for both partners is my new favorite way for couples to propose to one another — and we managed to create the most perfect design for both.

Karlie and Olivia are that couple that just radiate love for each other in an authentic way that we all deserve — and aspire to find one day. Their pieces are a reflection of how deeply they love and understand each other, and i couldn’t be more excited to share their proposals and designs.

I feel so lucky to have been a small part of their story and that in a very small way we will always be a part of their expression of love in each of their proposal moments.

We’re so happy for you both and so grateful you trusted us to be a part of such a beautiful memory. Congratulations, Karlie & Olivia! 🖤
