POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

It was a winning first day at Royal Ascot.🤞🏻And here’s the outfit I wore for the occasion..
A vintage embroidered cotton dress found at Barnes Fair last summer - possibly late 1950s early ‘60s? The net petticoat was a little scratchy, but I love that this dress remains in perfect original condition (even after a day at the races!) 🏇🎩🥂
I teamed this up with Frida style shoes by Kat Maconie, a vintage bead bag (scroll through to see the photo), Gucci faux bamboo rimmed sunglasses - and a flamboyantly feathered hat by Katherine Goodison (with bespoke refurbishment and embellishment by yours truly). 🪡
My Wolf and Moon pearl horseshoe earrings worked their magic.. I was lucky enough to back the outsider that won the first race. 👏🏻 PS this year’s Barnes Fair will be held on 11th July from 9.30-5.30 pm 👀

Feeling hot, hot, hot! 🌶️

As the mercury hits the low 30 degrees C in London this weekend, I am wishing I was somewhere more prepared for hot weather.

One of the coolest hot places I have been this year is @thejamaicainn .😎

Here I am on the beach tucking into jerk chicken pizza. One of the best pizzas I have ever tasted in my life. 🍕

Oh, and for anyone who’s interested, my @farmrio printed silk jumpsuit is almost vintage:-) purchased nearly 15 years ago on a trip to São Paulo. And these quirky catseye shades from @miumiu are curiously timeless.

Besides the vicinity of the freezer cabinet in your local supermarket, where’s the coolest place in your neighbourhood? 🪭

I’m curious to know where you go to ‘chill out’?

The bunting is out at #snogtowers 🇬🇧

What a truly momentous & memorable occasion, as London hosts a celebration that the 👀of the 🗺️ are watching as Great Britain sees a King wearing the 👑

In the spirit of true Britishness - rain certainly isn’t dampening the mood of the nation ☔️ as today is one big 🌈 of colour, pomp-&-ceremony, tradition & three cheers King Charles III.

Wondering how #sisters, #bigsisters & #reallybigsisters are celebrating 🤔

Just a week to go…

Looking forward to talking @olympicstudios on ‘how to sell online’. 🤗

I was a technophobe until I ended up working in a quant team in the City. After a career in investment management and head hunting, I opened a physical fashion boutique at a time when the Internet was still in its infancy. 💾

I’ve been involved in e-commerce from its early days and have experience of website design and administration on a range of different platforms, as well as content creation for magazines, blogs and social media. 👍🏻

We’ll be covering everything from setting up a website to selling in the metaverse. ⚡️

Can’t wait!

Creative craft challenge…

It’s just over a year since we launched our creative craft challenge, offering you the chance to up-cycle vintage Biba fabrics into inventive or original Biba clothing designs. ♻️

Adam from BibaBoys rose to the challenge and recreated an original Biba dress, having purchased a bundle of geometric patterned fabric that was used for some of the furnishings and wall coverings at the Big Biba store in Kensington High Street. 🐌

See images of Adam’s finished dress, learn about his craft and inspiration - and check out our curation of vintage Biba items from the Biba-Boys’ store in our latest blog post (see link in bio).❣️
