One week ago, we Raced Through History! There's no energy like the energy at the Marakez Pyramids Half Marathon, and seven years later it's amazing to see how our race has grown and now welcomes runners from across Egypt and from every corner of the world!

Thank you to every single one of the 10,000 runners who ran at the last remaining Wonder of the Ancient World, thank you to our amazing sponsors and partners, and special thanks to our amazing team at The TriFactory who turn dreams into reality!

You’ve seen the medal.
Now, here’s the story behind it.

In collaboration with Egyptian artist Hady Boraey, we brought the 2025 Marakez Pyramids Half Marathon medal to life — from the very first sketch to the final piece you’ll earn on race day.

Led by Nour El Demerdash, Creative Director at The TriFactory, the design journey goes beyond form. This video reveals not just how the medal was created, but the meaning woven into every detail: the symbols, the heritage, and the identity of Egypt that inspired its design.

What the full video on our YouTube channel.

Last month, The TriFactory attended the European Running Business Conference in Athens, Greece, marking the first time an Egyptian race organiser was invited to the illustrious gathering of the European running industry's top players. As well as learning from the world's top race organisers, federations, and race tech companies, we had the opportunity to showcase the work The TriFactory has done over the past 10 years and what we're building in the future!

Our Founder & CEO @aymanhakky's presentation as part of the Technology Showcase panel was well received by the audience, who appreciated the services and the creative features of locally developed running app Racemate, a strategic partner of The TriFactory. Co-founder @seiffawzy spoke about the growth of running in the MENA region and how international collaborations are key to unlocking even greater potential.

Additionally, Mohamed El Beltagy, Mostafa El Halaby, and Nour El Demerdash shared insights and developed potential partnerships with some of Europe's biggest marathon races.

Special thanks to the European Running Business Conference, everyone at European Athletics, and of course the organisers of the @athensauthenticmarathon for the very warm in Greece and looking forward to building on this amazing experience and implementing learnings at our upcoming events at The TriFactory and our key running races, including the Marakez @PyramidsHalfMarathon, @ElGounaHalfMarathon, and the Madinaty Half Marathon!

Solasi Festival • 22/9/23 •

I am incredibly grateful to have been a part of Solasi Festival this year 🧘

Solasi Festival is a holistic yoga and healing festival that was held this year in September in Soma Bay.

It was very inspiring to be placed in a new setting like this . Solasi was such a nurturing and welcoming place to be, I felt I really needed it and benefited from it (so thank you Solasi🧘)

To be surrounded by everyone, the amazing team, and just winding down and giving myself in a new type of form was very grounding.

Thank you @thetrifactory team🫶😍 @seiffawzy @shotbynour

Thank you & Always happy to be reunited with @osanafamilywellness and @__mama.bee__ 🤍 @yesyogaday

Looking back on this now, I appreciate this festival even more and what it provided for everyone. Both local and international attendees - it was a beautiful and much needed space for a lot of people.

This wonderful experience further highlights the importance of coming together as a global community.

Big love to everyone who volunteered, contributed their time and crafts to this weekend. 🤍🧘🫶
