VOLCANO - HOLYA X SHOUK HOUSE

Most rugs disappear into a room.

Volcano was designed to do the opposite.

Deep chocolate wool is interrupted by glowing crimson lines inspired by molten lava moving through the landscape.

Handwoven in Tunisia by skilled North African artisans, each rug carries subtle variations that make every piece unique.

Stuen stod færdig med det samme, eller der mangler lidt billeder og måske nogle flere skabe. Men det er brugbart og dejligt at være der. Vi fik hjælp til farven af @shoukhouse det endte med Scallop fra @farrowandball som er sart rosa/sand/beige alt efter sol og tid på dagen. Brændeovnen er malet i Brinjal også fra Farrow and Ball. De små billeder er fra @loppermedhjertet, hvor jeg fandt rigtig mange smukke ting til huset.

Heutiges Thema: Farbe! 🎨

Diese drei Interior Content Creator haben mich geprägt und inspiriert, wie ich selbst das Thema Farbe bei uns umsetze. Und vielleicht inspirieren sie dich ja auch?

1. @all.is.pretty.interior
Ich finde Vero nicht nur ultra lustig, besonders feiere ich sie dafür, dass sie (wie ich!) Beige liebt und sich nicht auf die Anti-Beige-Propaganda einlässt. Beige rules! 🤍🤝🤎

2. @shoukhouse
Kontrastprogramm: Unter dem Stichwort „Beige Rebellion“ challengt Andrew die beige Ästhetik. Sein Credo: Menschen wählen Beige, weil sie Ruhe wollen – aber tiefe, kräftige Farben können dieses Bedürfnis genauso oder sogar mehr stillen. 🤎

3. @kays_impressions
Bieten Accounts wie Kay einen Kompromiss aus dem #BeigeisBeautiful- und #SadBeige-Lager? Kay beweist, wie man eine cleane Ästhetik mit Farbtupfern verbindet, sodass die Farbe (in ihrem Fall Gelb) auch wirken kann. 🤍🤝💛

Ich liebe alle drei Accounts und bin auf meiner Reise zu meiner Signature-Farbe ein Stück näher. Gerade merke ich z.B. dass ich eine Schwäche für zartes Rosa mit etwas Grün entwickelt habe.

Beige wird immer meine Basis bleiben, aber ich schließe etwas mehr Farbe nicht mehr aus (siehe Bilderwand hinter mir!) und traue mich mehr. Nach wie vor liebe ich aber auch eine reine monochrome Ästhetik, wie auf Profilen wie @homewithvivian.

Wie seht ihr das? Auf einem Spektrum von monochrom zu Dopamine Decor – wo würdet ihr stehen? Und kennt ihr die Accounts schon?

“Serene” by SHOUK HOUSE

This client project was about creating an impactful yet timeless space — a kitchen that isn’t just for cooking, but a place to pause, to gather, and to dream.

Rich walnut cabinetry grounds the space, paired with striking veined marble that brings both movement and softness. The boldness comes through in the beautifully painted cabinetry, finished in my Bordeaux Chocolate — the SHOUK HOUSE Color of the Year 2026. Deep, warm, and enveloping, it adds depth without overpowering the room.

That richness is carefully balanced with aged steel and brushed nickel accents, introducing contrast and a subtle industrial edge. Everything is then wrapped in the warmth of Scallop by Farrow & Ball, creating a layered, cohesive palette that feels both moody and enduring.

A kitchen designed with intention — timeless, tactile, and quietly expressive.
