Tomorrow is National Singing Day, and we can’t think of a better way to mark it than with Nina. 🎤

Earlier this year, Nina tore her ACL and underwent BEAR Implant surgery to heal her torn ACL at Shriners Children’s Philadelphia. Now she’s back to doing what she loves, including performing with School of Rock.

Synergy is the key to successful tendon transfers!

Proud to share our latest publication on restoring wrist extension in children with brachial plexus birth injuries.
I contributed with half of patients but the idea comes from Shriners Philly (my master Scott Kozin and the incredible Dan Zlotolow).
💡 The double FDS tendon transfer is a paradigm of surgical synergy: finger flexion naturally activates wrist extension, transforming a powerful grasp into a functional wrist position.

This makes it one of the most effective reconstructive strategies for restoring wrist extension in these patients.

📊 73 patients | 89% achieved M4 wrist extension during power grip!

A powerful reminder that the best tendon transfer is not simply about muscle strength, but about harnessing natural motor synergy.
