What a pleasure it was to bring Felt Shapes to Dancing Family Festival! The purpose of this workshop is to bring consciousness to how interconnected we all are on a dancefloor, and it felt really well suited to the vibes of this festival.

We tied people together to show the push pull of energy on a dance floor and then we sketched each other’s movements. (The artwork that was produced will be turned into a collage, the wind did not allow for that at the function! :)

Kudos to this team for cultivating an atmosphere of safety, love, and silliness. There was a full program of some amazing arts and music festivities. It was magical to be a part of that!

Big week for me. I launched two projects I’ve been dying to bring to fruition: @memphiscreativeindex, a free public directory for Memphis creatives to get booked (we’ve already got 13 listings in one day!); and the Creative Energy Audit, a tool to help figure out what areas of creative wellness might need some love and what areas you’re thriving in.

Yall know I love a daily challenge. I want 100 people to take the free Creative Energy Audit I’ve developed through my Four Codes of Creative Energy so every day, until then, I’m going to show how I live the Four Codes. First up, Community. My favorite Code that took the longest to embody.

Comment ENERGY to get the Audit sent to your DMs ⚡️

I’ve been inspired by the way @marainmemphis documents all the things she does during the week to romanticize her life. Here’s my spin: stuff I did this week to charge my creative energy ⚡️⚡️⚡️

Introducing Bite Sized Barter, a creative swap event and fundraiser for a new community-run art fund!

Bring something you love, leave with something new. Books, art, clothes, skills, baked goods…all are welcome ✨
We believe creatives thrive when they support each other. A barter system puts that into practice: no money, just community exchange. Your stuff finds a new home, someone else’s finds yours, and any funds made through ticket pack sales go straight back into making art happen.

On the day there’ll also be a collaborative artwork being made together, plus a raffle, so even if you’re just coming to be part of something, there’s plenty to get involved with.

Rediscover your creative curiosity through playful exploration of the five senses. 👁️

Meghan’s workshop explores the five senses: sound, touch, sight, smell, and taste through playful, low-pressure experimentation with everyday and unconventional materials.

Students will develop a personal theme and express it across different sensory experiences, ending with a small multi-sensory installation.

This is a FREE one day workshop! ✨

All materials will be provided.
