Delightful new brunch program in Philly that you should be eating at.

We decided to go to @sideeyephilly because I finally got an image of what those crepes looked like. Holy shit.

Now this isn’t something that is going to blow your socks off, then again, I never really seek that out in this city anymore. More importantly, they aren’t trying to reinvent the wheel.

We need a place that is reliable , consistent, and affordable. I think the most expensive thing on the brunch menu was 15$??? That’s what a restaurant should strive to do. I peeped the dinner menu and their most expensive dish (steak) was 35?? Absolutely incredible work.

As far as the food goes:
Omelette, excellent
Burger, pretty good to above average. Just a very solid pub burger.
The Benny was enjoyed as well with the sleeper of the day being the greens on the side of that lol.

However, those crepes were absolute insanity & up there with some of the best I’ve had in the country. The texture and flavor paired with the chunks of fruit, wow. That alone made the whole visit.

The city as a whole was dead af with the rain and birds game, and that’s exactly how I like it, nobody there. The decor was magnificent, and the place was so ridiculously relaxed.

We had an excellent experience this morning. Was $99 all in before tip. 3 coffees and like 6 entrees 3 sides.

Alll things considered,
HIGHLY recommend.

Oh ya, then we walked to the goat @cuzzysicecream and wrapped up our morning. Insane Sunday.

Everyone's got a "fall in Philly" list. This is mine. The one I actually do, every single year.

🧺 Early Evening Candlelit picnic at Mario Lanza Park: tablecloth, real plates, a bottle of something. Instant date night, zero reservation needed.

🌇 Sunset at Bok Bar: the skyline view that is the BEST in the city — and it closes mid-October, so don't sleep on this one.

🎨 Golden hour at Calder Gardens: new, quiet, and criminally underrated right now. Watch the sunset relect on the windows

🍷 Happy hour crawl, Queen Village style: Malbec → Samuel Gritz → Side Eye. Under a mile, three totally different vibes, zero driving.

🍁 Foliage on the Wissahickon: quiet and beautiful - bring your camera.

🍩 Apple fritters from Beiler's: warm it up, add vanilla ice cream. Don't argue with me, just try it.

🌅 Sunrise on the Delaware: the river does something to the light that no filter can fake. Go before 7am. (📸 Pier Tom)

She’s back!!!! But Philly edition, tried @sideeyephilly tonight and it did not disappoint!

We got:
Peppercorn Burger
Truffle corn Gnocchi
French Onion Soup

This was a solid 8/10🫶🫶🫶
