We had a big day last week! @sigridmedia officially turned two 🎊

I am beyond proud of where we've got to with our little business. It's been a lot of late nights but 100x more laughs.

I'm eternally grateful to all our amazing clients who have put their trust in us. An extra big thank you to those who were there from the very beginning (you know who you are), who took a punt on me and who I owe everything to!

Two years later and we now have an amazing team of 4 incredible women.

Emma in Operations, who has been with me since the early days and has dealt with many a stressy voicenote and broken laptops.

Tenae who helps us with loads of our creative work, editing and carousels.

And Issy, who joined us in person at the beginning of the summer and who a few of our clients now know well.

We also can’t forget our honorary team member Jack, who does lots of fancy videography alongside us for several of our shared clients.

I don’t love sharing too much of my personal life but I can’t miss my silent teammate Harry, my other half, who is, in my humble opinion, the most amazing person in the world. He has made me a thousand dinners and lunches whilst I am working, spent many a Saturday and a holiday with me locked in the office all whilst building a ridiculous career of his own.

I've learned more than I ever thought possible in two years.

Every new client and hire has pushed me out of my comfort zone, but it turns out we're all just trying to enjoy the 90,000 hours that we will spend working in our lifetimes!

An fabulous morning earlier this week, spent surrounded by women who are shaping the future of the industry. There’s something truly special about bringing ambitious ladies into the same room to share ideas, network, and learn from one another. Grateful to @agentwise.io & @emlikesthese for organising and a fabulous speech! 🎀🥂

Behind every new feature launch, ad campaign, and polished ‘ask a surveyor’ video (we know you love them)… is a lot of planning, problem solving, and figuring things out as we go.

Life as a startup means wearing multiple hats and building as you learn.

For Survey Shack, that means finding new ways to make property inspections more accessible, educational, and easier to understand for buyers and sellers alike.

A little behind the scenes from our latest shoot with Annabelle from Sigrid Media and Jack from Engels Productions vs the finished result.

We believe the UK property system needs a shakeup. Help us get the word out.

Running a business can feel like switching between ten versions of yourself before lunch.

Strategy, sales, operations, marketing, admin (and all the rest) is a constant mental load.

One of the most underrated skills in a service business is making sure you are taking something OFF that list, not adding to it.

As a contractor, turning every step of your workflow into another decision makes you exhausting to work with.

In my case, that means understanding my clients’ audiences (this is why I try to stay in my property niche!), coming up with ideas, planning shoots, capturing extra content where possible & covering related service lines like email too.

Too many of my clients have said they spoke to someone else about socials before, but they couldn’t film, didn’t understand the property space, or only offered one small part of the puzzle.

If you’re not sure what your clients need, you probably just need to ask more questions. Most people will tell you exactly what would make their life easier.

The best people to work with don’t add another tab, they close a few.
