On the final day of Chat Noir, the magicians (@neilkelso and @pat.magus) conjured up a special treat for the wonderful people who brought this dream to life. ✨ We arranged for the legendary @silhouettist Charles Burns to visit us backstage and capture everyone’s beautiful essence with nothing more than paper, scissors, and his magnificent artistry. Thank you to the maestro @valeriebarr.music for capturing this timelapse! 🖤 130 years ago, the Chat Noir was famously home to sensational shadow puppetry shows, so it seemed the perfect way to capture these magical memories. 🐈‍⬛

On our final day, in-between shows, the magicians of Chat Noir (me and Pat) arranged a special surprise. We got the legendary silhouette artist Charles Burns to come backstage and cut everyone’s silhouettes to capture the memory of this special day in his truly virtuosic way!

I also instigated a flashmob group photo and I’m very grateful to Skip @skip_greig for taking this fab group picture. It’s not quite everyone - there are some important people absent due to scheduling etc, but its very nice that some special folks came in on their day off specially to celebrate these last moments together. There have been a lot of absolute diamonds making this happen.

The Chat Noir was famous for its shadow puppetry shows, and this seemed the perfect way to connect the past and present for the future. Thank you to everyone who added to the magic of this project. Follow my dear friend and collaborator @pat.magus and our beloved Charles Burns @silhouettist 🖤

What a busy time it was cutting the continuously snaking queue with colleague Charles Burns for @penhaligons ticketed exhibition ‘The Who’s Who Of London’ hosted at the prestigious @royalacademyarts
Met some delightful characters, all of which commented that the queuing was a joyful part of the anticipation of the experience and totally worth it!

The Garden Soirée of dancing and delights ⛲️🥂

This is just part 1 of the magical evening I had at the Young Georgians Ball last month. Thank you @carlasalvatorestudio for taking these beautiful photographs!

I truly felt like I was in a Jane Austen novel. For those who don’t know, this dress was made by my mum & I specially for the ball. We spent weeks creating a pattern from part of an old bodice and historical costuming books. My mum had found the fabric a year ago for £10 in a nearby charity shop @sueryderrochester .We already had the ribbon, lace trim and reticule fabric which is all antique and was given to us by a friend’s relatives. The jewellery and gloves are also vintage.

Many thanks again to the @thegeorgiangroup Young Georgians committee for organising such a fabulous event.

Penhaligon’s — лондонский парфюмерный дом с историей, которая началась ещё в 1870 году. I had a zoom party with the incredible @silhouettist yesterday with my friends! It was absolutely delightful to see how Charles captured everyone so well! Can you guess which one is my kid and husband, which one is me (I’m the untagged ones), which one is an American Eskimo and which one is a Cavalier?
