I am back! Did you miss me as much as I missed you? Thanks friends for all the lovely holiday cards and gifts, I have some catching up to do! Hope all of you had a joyous and safe holiday.
.
Mom and dad took off for vacation to Southern California with me first, then left me with a sitter and went to the Caribbeans for a family reunion, then came home. They were very lucky, all went smoothly. No flight cancellations and all Covid tests negative before and after the trip. So happy to be back, home sweet home!
.
Please tell me what's happening in your life.

Today on PillowTalk Chrimbus Series:
Episode 1:
“Home Decor Addiction: How Many Lanterns Is Too Many?”
.
We’re going to start off with a très controversial topic. One that is taking over a lot of households this year: Holiday Home Decor Addiction.
Now my mom seems to have a pretty severe case all year, but the holidays really ramp it into overdrive. And with the abundance of online shopping, it’s really gone to the next level. I get the Chrimbus Tree (even though I see it for what it truly is: a propagandized squirrel household infiltration scheme..) and I get the twinkle lights. I even now get the oversized hanging Chrimbus socks. But let’s talk about the other stuff. Like all the faux feather owls, and the old fashioned lanterns. How many lanterns does she NEED? And let’s not forget the pinecones! The current slogans of this house seem to be “Put a pinecone on it” & “Needs more pinecones.”
This is also where I get curious: The obsession with making the inside look like outside. Trees, pinecones, owls, & lanterns that look like they fell out of 1800’s England. Like Lady, we have electricity. And even if we didn’t, I know you seem to enjoy single handedly keeping the old fashioned lantern industry alive, but your weird, inefficient LittleHouseOnThePrairie lanterns won’t be the things that save us. We literally have flashlights for that.
So here I am, in an indoor winter wonderland on steroids (swipe to see), while mom has achieved the now annual tradition of being banned from using the Amazon account, surrounded by lanterns and street lamps like some kind of goshdang Oliver Twist Laura Ingalls (even though we have actual lights) just waiting for this craziness to end.
.
Now as for ACTUAL outdoor decor, let’s go to our featured special guest @silly_bentley live on the scene at his place in Arizona! He’s been enduring a similar holiday decor addiction there too. It’s a whole twinkling, inflatable Chrimbus animal kingdom over there! Swipe through to see him interviewing a few festive holiday woodland guys, inspecting some Twinkle Deers before final placement, and touring his winter wonderland! Hang in there Bentley!
