° Season 3; Episode 1: The Last Block °
°
°

° And just like that, we are pushing through the last block of worlds prep. It’s gone by so fast. With this session, I tried two new things. A wider grip and wider stance. The wider grip helped take a lot of tension from my shoulder. My shoulder still hurts so much but I am doing all that I can to speed up recovery. The wider stance is new, I am not use to it. It will be interesting to see if I’m able to adjust quickly or if we’ll have to resort back. Today’s lifts felt heavy, I felt tired. I became frustrated with my shoulder. I can’t get under the bar as intense as I normally due to it. All Glory to Christ.

° Pregnancy -> Postpartum, Never Gave Up °
°
°

° I did it. I made it work. I did it pregnant, I did it postpartum. I did it without help. I did it while bringing my daughter. I did it without a village. It wasn’t easy, it wasn’t simple. It was sacrifice, it was so incredibly difficult, it was worth it. Giving up, never became an option.

° Epiosde 13; The Fails are Apart of the Wins °
°
°

° Fails of the Week: 325/170/408

° I’ve learned a lot since nationals. I’ve learned to love where I fail. I’ve learned to not let one lift define me. I’ve learned that failure is necessary for perseverance. I need to fail to have redemption. The feeling of redemption is much more satisfying. I use to be afraid of failing, I don’t anymore. I’d much rather have tried something and failed than never have attempted it and it stays in the what if.

° I love powerlifting. I’ve let it destroy me, rebuild me, shape who I am today. It’s taught me so much and I am so thankful. These may be failed lift today, but tomorrow they are lessons and in a month, they will be apart of my success.

° Episode 12; Strength isn’t Linear °
°
°

° My shoulder was pretty beat up after squats. I was very disappointed in my bench at first, but then realized that I have never hit this number in comp, during a full SBD day, or when my rotator cuff was acting up. I took it as a small win. I failed this on my chest at nationals, and we hit it in pain during an SBD. If this is my third at my next comp, it’s a win for me. It’s a comp PR.
